5 Holiday Things I Want to Do In My Future New Home

This holiday season I’m currently living with my relative. I started living with my relative when I became very ill years ago, but I always dreamed of buying my own house and living in it. In 2019, I planned to buy my own home and move out of my relative’s home, but my relative had some health issues that required me to stay and help my relative for the rest of the year. Although I planned to move out in 2020, the pandemic postponed home buying and moving indefinitely.

Despite this holiday season not being a normal one, or one spent in my own home, I still dream and plan for my future home. This has been hard because I’m not sure where I’m going to live or how big my home will ultimately be. Still, I think of all the fun things I can do while living in my future home. Since it’s the holiday season, I thought it might help myself feel more hopeful about my future home if I write a post about five holiday themed things I want to do in my future home. Walmart Fall Decor for 2020

When Walmart began to put their fall decor out for sale in August, I waited for my local Walmart to put their decor out so I could see what I liked enough to buy. Unfortunately, I didn’t see much I really liked or wanted to buy, so I didn’t buy anything but a wreath in a color combination I wanted.

Despite this, I liked many of the items on sale and took photographs of them. Continue reading “Walmart Fall Decor for 2020”

Favorite Walmart Fall Decor Signs for 2020

In August, my local Walmart began to put out their Fall and Halloween decor. Even though I felt excited to see the decor for sale, I didn’t get the chance to post photographs of my favorite Fall decor until now.

My local Walmart is smaller than other Walmarts, so the selection was not very big. Despite this, I still found some Fall decor that I really liked and took pictures of. The first place I saw Fall decor that I love is on an end cap in the fabric section…

Thoughts on My Spring 2020 Fireplace Decor

It’s August and it’s about time I start looking at the decorations I have up to consider what I want to keep out on display until late September and what I don’t. After going around my house, I feel torn about taking down my current decor display on the fireplace.

I put it up in March, right before lock downs took place due to Covid-19. It turned out to be the display I needed to get through this trying time. It is a simple decoration, a magnolia leaf garland I bought at Michael’s craft store on sale in Spring 2019 and a picture frame with a plexiglass with the words “Grow through what you go through” I bought in Target’s Dollar Stop also in Spring 2019.

Kohl’s Lemon and Yellow Themed Summer Decorations

Over a month ago, I went to Kohl’s to shop for something I needed. I didn’t find what I wanted, but I did find some very cute and cheerful lemon and yellow themed summer home decor. I took photographs of it and decided to share the photographs as home decor inspiration or something cheerful to look at. Continue reading “Kohl’s Lemon and Yellow Themed Summer Decorations”

My Mismatched Quarantine Holiday Decor- April 2020

In March, when I began to get ready putting up my Easter decorations, I also did a mini clean out and organize of some of the things in my house. During my cleaning spree, I found some decorations I love but didn’t put up because I couldn’t find them in time to decorate for the holiday. Even though I wanted to mainly focus on Easter decor, I decided to put up some of my rediscovered holiday decor for fun. Continue reading “My Mismatched Quarantine Holiday Decor- April 2020”

2019 Christmas House Interior Decoration Progress- Part 2

A few weeks ago, I talked about decorating the inside of my house for Christmas. Although it’s nearing Christmas, I have more decorating I need to do. I think I’m a bad blogger for not getting all my decorations up by now because it seems like all the bloggers, YouTubers, and people I follow on social media have their decorations up by now. But eh. Life didn’t turn out the way I hoped it would this month. Since I’m not done, I wanted to give everyone a progress update on how slow I am on decorating my house. 2019 Christmas House Interior Decoration Progress- Part 1

Last year, I did a horrible job decorating my house for Christmas. It was so bad, I didn’t even put up a tree! There was many reason for this (Including recovering from an antibiotic resistant infection I had for many years), but this year I wanted to put some effort into decorating. The problem is I didn’t like many of my old decorations. They worked well when I purchased them, but that was over 5 years ago when my lifestyle was different and I needed to take care of an ill family member. I did do some shopping for new decorations, but I didn’t find exactly what I was looking for. (I did find stuff for my home office, but that’s for another post) So, I made do with the decorations I did love an enjoy decorating with and decided to see if there was anything I could buy to add to this year’s decorations.

So, I even though I believed I would have all my decorating finished before today (The day this post goes live), I’m not. Despite this, I wanted to share everything I’ve done so far and talk about what I want/need decoration wise before I can call my Christmas decorating finished.
