More Favorite Musicals for the 2019 Holiday Season
Ok, I need to admit something. I’m running out of post ideas for Blogmas. None the less, I felt inspired talking about my favorite holiday musicals so I decided to talk about them for another day!
Yesterday, I listed all my favorite musicals for 2019. Along the way, I forgot to list some of my favorites, including the well known holiday musical White Christmas. *hangs head in shame* Fortunately for me, I can save my internet face and list some more musicals I love to watch during the holiday season. And, since I’m writing this post in such an impromptu fashion, I can honestly say I will probably forget to list some more holiday musicals. Still, I hope I list musicals that everyone can enjoy watching!
As with my previous post, which can be seen here, I am only listing the musicals that can be seen in movie form and can either be downloaded, streamed, or purchased on DVD or Blue Ray. Continue reading “More Favorite Musicals for the 2019 Holiday Season”
Favorite Musicals for the 2019 Holiday Season
So, Cats the musical is out in theaters and so far it’s not very well liked. As a musical theater fan, I wanted to share a list of musical theater shows that are available on DVD, Blue-ray, digital download, or on streaming services that would be great to watch during the holiday season. Or, if you hate the 2019 movie version of Cats, to detox from the trip to the movie theater. Continue reading “Favorite Musicals for the 2019 Holiday Season”
Ornament Feature: Celebration Barbie Hallmark Ornament
Christmas is almost here and I’m so excited! I enjoyed decorating my house this year and even had the chance to put my tree up! Although my tree is not big enough to hang all my ornaments on it, I’m still happy with the way it turned out!
One of the ornaments I didn’t get the chance to hang on my tree was my 2011 Celebration Barbie ornament from Hallmark. Continue reading “Ornament Feature: Celebration Barbie Hallmark Ornament”
Bath and Body Works 2019 Holiday Product and Decor Appreciation Post
Back in November and through out the month of December, while shopping at Bath and Body Works, I took some photographs in hopes of using them in posts. Those posts never materialized, but I still had the photographs. I loved the in store decorations, displays, products and, after taking with some of the Bath and Body Works employees, they put a lot of effort into creating the displays, so I decided to create a Bath and Body Works 2019 holiday product, display, and decor appreciation post. 2019 Christmas House Interior Decoration Progress- Part 2
A few weeks ago, I talked about decorating the inside of my house for Christmas. Although it’s nearing Christmas, I have more decorating I need to do. I think I’m a bad blogger for not getting all my decorations up by now because it seems like all the bloggers, YouTubers, and people I follow on social media have their decorations up by now. But eh. Life didn’t turn out the way I hoped it would this month. Since I’m not done, I wanted to give everyone a progress update on how slow I am on decorating my house. The Rhythm Cats’ Christmas Show at The Silver Star Theater Review
Earlier this month, I was invited to go to the Silver Star Theater to see the Rhythm Cats’ Christmas Show. The Silver Star Theater is a dinner theater that features a variety of shows ranging from variety shows to covers of well known singers and songwriters as well as genres. The Rhythm Cats Show is what I would consider the star of the Silver Star and is the band that performs the majority of the cover shows. You can read more about the Rhythm Cats Show and the Silver Star Theater at the Silver Star Theater’s website here.
I’ve been to the Silver Star Theater before, but, unfortunately didn’t know the name of the theater I would be going to before the show. (I’m not sure why, but the group that invited me didn’t tell me the name of the theater until I was in the vehicle.) Although I’ve been to the theater before, it’s been a few years so I was excited to go again.
When I arrived at the theater, it looked the way I remembered it. I didn’t think of taking photographs for a post until the announcements stated that photographs could be taken but no video. So, I took out my camera and started taking photographs for my blog.
By the way, this post is not sponsored and my ticket was purchased by the group I went with. (I purchased the tickets to the other Silver Star Theater shows I attended before this one) All the opinions in this post are my own and I do not receive any compensation for this post. 1920’s Inspired Dresses for New Year’s Eve 2020
Even though it’s still Christmas time, it is also a time to look forward to the new year. Next year will be 2020, and mark 100 years since the roaring 20’s began. Although the United States started the 1920’s as a huge party and a time of excessive buying and indulgence, it ended in the start of the Great Depression and left an impact on history in ways we can see much clearly today than 100 years ago. So, if you want to celebrate the start of a new decade of the roaring 20’s by wearing a dress inspired by the fashions of 100 years ago, here are some dresses to inspire your New Year’s Eve party outfit! Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show: What I’ll Miss, What I Won’t, and Why It’s Important
Last month, Victoria’s Secret announced they will not be putting on a fashion show this year. At that time business annalists talk about why they decided to do this, but last year I figured it would be ending sooner rather than later. I did think they would hold out until next year to end the fashion show because it would mean the show would be on for over 15 years and end on the year 2020, a nice year number to end the show. Despite this, costs for the fashion show are very high and the relevance factor has gone away so ending it before any sort of anniversary number arrived was proof the company knew it would be, in my eyes, wasting time and money putting on the show. Since this would be the first year in over 15 years the fashion show will not be on the air, I wanted to talk about what I’ll miss from the fashion show, what I won’t miss, and why it’s important to talk about the end of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. 5 Christmas Items I Purchase to Use Year Round
This is the time of the year when people buy new items to use for a limited time only. Although I’m guilty of buying things and use them for a few weeks a year, there are items I purchase for use year-round because they are unavailable the rest of the year. Since this is Blogmas, I decided to share five Christmas items I purchase in order to use them year round. Continue reading “5 Christmas Items I Purchase to Use Year Round”
