Back in July, I went to the Hallmark Gold Crown Keepsake Ornament Premiere. My original plans was to buy some ornaments and maybe take a few photos of what the store looked like (I didn’t… More
It’s that time of the year when the Hallmark Gold Crown Christmas ornaments will be available for sale! I’m very excited to go shopping again this year. Last year I got up early to go shopping at my nearest Hallmark store, but I ended up missing out on buying a few of the limited quantity ornaments I wanted to buy because I ran errands and arrived to the store a half an hour after it opened. I hope to avoid this mistake and miss buying the limited quantity ornaments I have my eye on.
Since the ornaments will be available later this week, I decided to make a post about the ornaments on my wish list. I’m not sure if I’ll buy them, but they are the ones I’m considering purchasing. Continue reading “2018 Hallmark Gold Crown Ornament Wish List”
In May 2018, I needed to stock up on a few of my favorite beauty essentials and a few new eye shadow pallets. I bought everything in my haul from Target and Walmart. Continue reading “Target and Walmart Beauty Haul- May 2018”
Last month, I need to stock up on some beauty supplies. Along with the make up and other beauty products, I stocked up on some Neutrogena products I needed. All the items in this haul are from Target and I purchased them during a beauty product and sunscreen sale. Continue reading “Neutrogena Product Haul- May 2018”
The official star to summer is a few weeks away, but in Arizona it’s already here. Since it’s so hot, I wanted to share five of my favorite summer beauty essentials. I do use all these products year round and most of them are a little obvious, but I wanted to talk about them anyway Continue reading “Five Summer Beauty Essentials”
On May 7, 2018, the annual Met Gala was held in New York City. If you’ve never heard of the Met Gala, it is a yearly fundraising gala for the Metropolitan Museum of the Art’s Costume Institute and is the opening of the yearly fashion exhibition. The gala is held on the first Monday in May. Attendees of the gala are expected to dress formally but to also fit the theme of the exhibition. Sometimes, the theme of the exhibition makes dressing to fit the formality of the gala hard, but it can be interesting to see how designers interpret the theme.
This year’s exhibition is Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and The Catholic Imagination, but the theme for the attendees’ outfits is “Sunday Best”. Since fashion using Catholic imagery would be on display alongside items on loan from the Vatican, many believed that this exhibition would be one of the most controversial exhibitions the Costume Institute ever held. This also posed a problem for the fashion designers who wanted to incorporate Catholic imagery (Such as clerical robes, iconography normally used in the Catholic mass, ect.) in their designs for the attendees at the gala. Some of the designers didn’t mid using Catholic imagery in their designs, while others created designs that are subtitle in their use of the Catholic imagery and are not very controversial at all.
Since this is the first year I’m able to talk about the Met Gala on my blog, I decided to write a post about my favorite looks at the gala. It was hard for me to choose my favorite looks because I wanted my choices to not include a lot of Catholic imagery or, if they do, it doesn’t stand out too much. I also tried to pick some classy looks as well.
Ok! Let’s get started! Continue reading “Top 10 Favorite Looks at the Met Gala 2018”
On April 20th, I went to Sephora because they had their VIB sale. I normally don’t shop during the VIB sale (Mostly because I’m too busy around the time the sale is going on), but after browsing the store located inside my local JcPenny’s, I found a few things I wanted and bought them during the sale.
In July 2017, I received a skin care sample package from Sephora. I ordered it as part of a promotion, but I didn’t get the chance to test the samples until recently. In addition to the samples from Sephora, I had other samples I wanted to test and talk about on my blog. Since I had so many, I decided to talk about a few in blog posts at a time.
Last year, the week before my ten year high school reunion, I debated if I should go to the reunion or not. Like many, I didn’t have a great time in high school and the thought of seeing so many people I went to school with and never wanted to see again bothered me a lot. I still wanted to go because my home town holds a parade for homecoming so I could skip any sort of reunion and just watch the parade like the rest of the town. I ended up not going to any homecoming festivities because I got sick earlier in the week (Which I considered a blessing in disguise) but the week before homecoming I decided to buy myself a treat for surviving ten years of life without high school: Two Kate Spade New York bags!
A few weeks ago, I went to Target to see what Easter decorations are for sale. I thought there would be a lot of options and I was right! I wish I could’ve bought more things, but I currently don’t have the storage for them right now.
Spring is almost here so I wanted to go back and revisit my post about my favorite fall/winter trends to see if I actually bought anything I had on my list. This doesn’t mean that I will not eventually buy anything I talked about in my post in the future, but this is what I decided to buy since I wrote the post. You can read my fall/winter favorite trends post here.
