Attempting to Make Brioche Bread Again

Last December, my mixer broke while making a new bread recipe. This recipe was for brioche bread.

Today, I have a new mixer that is stronger than my old one. Even though it is stronger and far more reliable than my old one, I still was worried about how well it would do making brioche. A few weeks ago, I decided to try to make the bread again.

Kate Spade New York: All In Good Taste Book Review

While during a recent clean out and organization of my things, I came across some books I wanted to write review posts for. One of those books is All In Good Taste by Kate Spade New York.

The book, which was published in 2015, is by the fashion and lifestyle brand, Kate Spade New York. I’m a fan of Kate Spade New York and really love shopping the brand. At the time I purchased this book, I wanted to own some of the books by Kate Spade New York. I decided to pick All In Good Taste first because it is about the do’s and don’ts of entertaining.

Discovering New Alternatives for Hard Apple Cider in Recipes

Ever since I discovered I have food allergies, I have tried my best to adjust any recipe I use to avoid my allergies. Over the years I’ve become more adapted to recognizing recipes with ingredients I can’t use and how to still use the recipe anyway.

Last year, I decided to try make a new bagel recipe. It called for hard apple cider or beer for it. I don’t like to make recipes with beer in it because beer normally plays an important role in the recipe. In fact, the role is so important that I find it is hard to use the recipe with alternative ingredients.

Even though the recipe called for beer or hard apple cider (Both of which I am allergic to) I still decided to give it a try. I thought that if hard apple cider can be used instead of beer, then I could use another apple-based juice as it’s replacement. That’s when I began to learn about why apple juice isn’t a good substitute for beer or hard apple cider.

My Summer Plans for 2023

Summer’s unofficial start is coming soon. For many people, it means it’s time to take advantage of this time of the year and do fun things. For me, I feel like my plans for this summer season are pretty flexible. I don’t have a lot of plans to do anything major or special, but if I see an opportunity to do something special, I will!

Even though my plans are pretty flexible, there are some major plans I want to do at least once this season. Some of them are things I want to continue after summertime begins while others are things that remind me summertimes, yet are more inexpensive than traveling.

Favorites from Target’s 20 Years of Design for All- Missoni

I’m almost done sharing my favorites from Target’s 20 Years of Design for All, and I have yet to share my favorites from my favorite design collaboration that Target brought back: Missoni.

Missoni is not my style at all, but when I saw the collaboration items in store, I fell immediately in love with them. Although I own many items from the original collaboration, I know there are a few that missed or want to own another one of because of wear and tear. Because of this, I can say there are many items from the Missoni collection that are my favorites. Continue reading “Favorites from Target’s 20 Years of Design for All- Missoni”

Avocado and Lime Toast Recipe

In a previous post, I reviewed a Mickey Mouse 90th anniversary toaster. After I made the toast, I decided to make avocado toast using the bread.

For the avocado spread, I created my favorite kind of spread for avocado toast: avocado and lime. It’s a very easy to create and is very flavorful.

How I create the spread is to take a whole avocado and mash it. After mashing the avocado, I squeeze half a lime into the spread and mix.
