5 Manga Series I Would Purchase Again If I Needed to Restart My Collection

Over the years, I’ve watched and read social media content about different things a person would repurchase if they needed to restart their collection or restore what they lost for unforeseen reasons. Usually these lists serve as a way to talk about a person’s favorite items, what they wouldn’t buy again if given the chance, and why they made this decision.

I’ve seriously considered writing these posts for some time, but I didn’t. Whenever I would try writing these lists, I felt like I came off as conceded and, to me, it sounded more like I’m bragging about owning something instead of seriously talking about the items I own and if they are worth it or not. Sometimes I was far too harsh in my review of my writing. Sometimes I wasn’t.

So, in order to test the waters of this type of post, I decided to write one dedicated to the five manga series I would repurchase if I needed to restart my manga collection over again. Although I don’t talk much about reading manga online, I do enjoy reading it… sometimes. I’m very picky about my manga because they are more expensive than an average book and series can last for many years. This is why I need to really like the plot, art, stories, ect. or else I won’t bother owning it. (I made too many mistakes buying manga I hated over the years. This is my way of avoiding the mistakes of the past and not waisting money on things I really don’t like.)

Yet, there are still series that I don’t want to live without. They make me happy to read and I enjoy owning them… even if I don’t read them as frequently as I could. So, here are five manga series I would rebuy if I needed to start my collection over again.

6 Tips Before Buying and Collecting Manga For the First Time

For many years I collected manga. If you never heard of manga, it is a comic book or graphic novel originally from Japan. The manga I collect are English translations of the original Japanese comics. I started as a teenager in the 2000’s, but over the years I slowed down a lot. This is mostly due to the fact I didn’t like the stories enough to buy new series. As for my old favorite series, most, if not all of them, finished publication over 10 years ago.

Recently, I started watching a lot of YouTube videos about manga collections. This made me realize, if I started my collection all over again, I would establish some new guidelines for picking manga series to own. Collecting manga is expensive, especially if the series is very long. Back in the 2000’s, I didn’t have the ability to do research the way I would’ve like to. So, in honor of my old hobby, I decided to write a post about six tips I would follow today before I buy and collect hard copies of Manga for the first time.

Book Review- Sugary Girls: The Art of Eku Uekura (Japanese Edition) by Edu Uekura

For many years, I enjoyed collecting art books. I own art books from movies, artists, and other media. As someone who has always loved art, I loved collecting them.

Since the 2020 Covid pandemic, I have substantially slowed down in collecting art books. This is mostly because there isn’t very many new art books I wanted to collect. One of the new books that caught my eye was Sugary Girls, The Art of Eku Uekura. It is an art book of girls wearing clothing inspired by deserts by Japanese artist Eku Uekura. Even though I have owned this book for more than a year, I decided to write a post about it now. To be honest, the only reason why I didn’t talk about it is because I wanted to enjoy looking at it without worrying about thinking up what to say in a review post.

Art, Fan Art, and Book Fan Inspired Small Businesses to Shop on Black Friday 2024

It’s Thanksgiving week which means so many great things. For shoppers, and anyone looking for bargains, it means it is time for Black Friday sales!

This year, I wanted to share small business I really like that are available to shop online on Black Friday. They are all taking orders (Unless I wasn’t aware they were closed this week!) and some may even have sales in honor of the big shopping day. I don’t know all the sales they have or any special offers for Thanksgiving and Black Friday, so please check out their websites to see if there are any specials available!

I also want to mention that I have either purchased from the stores or have been watching them for a while and have good reviews. The links to the shops are going to be their own shop websites or Etsy stores. If there is an Etsy store and a separate shop website, I will link both.

None of the links in this post contain affiliate links. The stores featured in this post are not sponsored.
