5 Ways to Celebrate St Patrick’s Day Without Drinking

Today is St Patrick’s Day! Although it is not my favorite holiday, I enjoy really enjoy holiday. It is a time when Irish music is played, wearing green is common, and celebrating Ireland and it’s culture is at the forefront for a day. Despite this, there are many things that are more commonly associated with the holiday I don’t always enjoy. Drinking alcohol is the biggest one.

Even though I am not Irish, over the years I have figured out ways to celebrate the holiday without needing to drink alcohol. Some are simple while others are more complicated, but they can all can be budget friendly or more lavish. For this post, I picked five of my most common and favorite ways to celebrate the holiday.

Rocket Herb Sweet Basil- What is It and How Does it Work

During a recent shopping trip to a local Dollar Tree, I found a section of the store dedicated to gardening. Normally this section would have a lot of gardening inspired home decor, but this time they had a lot of things that would be perfect for just gardening.

Among the gardening supplies were seeds for flowers and herbs. Also, there was something called a Rocket Herb and Rocket Flower. I heard of them before, but I never saw one for sale in person. I thought about purchasing one of the Rocket Herbs, but I initially had so many doubts about how well it would work, I decided to walk away from it. While looking around the store, I finally decided to purchase one of the Rocket Herbs that grows Sweet Basil.

Bath and Body Works Semi Annual Sale Haul- December 2023 Part 1

In December, I went shopping at Bath and Body Works. It was the start of the semi annual sale, so I wanted to stock up on products I like and want to have available for the next year. I had low expectations for this sale because I didn’t think anything I wanted to purchase would be available. Instead, I was very surprised by the amount of products on sale I wanted and needed! For the first time in a few years, I purchased quite a lot of products! Since I purchased so many products, I split them into two posts. This post is dedicated to all the body products. The second post will be coming out later this week.

Scunci Spring and Easter 2023 Collection at Ulta Beauty

Earlier this week, while shopping at Ulta Beauty, I realized I didn’t talk about the Scunci and Sally Hansen x Peeps Brand collection on this blog. I already wrote a post about the Sally Hansen x Peeps Brand collection, which you can read here. For this post, I wanted to talk about the Scunci brand Spring/Easter collection.

I don’t normally talk about Scunci’s products not because I don’t like them, but because I never thought about talking about them! Since the Scunci Spring/Easter collection was on the same end cap as the Sally Hansen x Peeps Brand collection, I thought it would be a great opportunity to take photographs of it for a post! Peeps Marshmallows Craft and Merchandise Collection at Michael’s Craft Store

Easter is a week away! To me, it snuck up on me. Sadly, I didn’t have the chance to really get excited about it like I used to. Despite this, I wanted to write some Easter themed posts (Or what I would hope could be considered Easter themed posts) for the week leading up to Easter. (I’m taking the weekend off starting on Friday in order to celebrate without worrying about the internet!)

For many people, Peeps Marshmallow treats are an essential way of celebrating Easter. While shopping at Michael’s Craft Store, I found a section of the store dedicated to Peeps. In addition to the Peeps Marshmallows, there were other Peep related merchandise. I thought everything I saw was really cute, so I decided to take photographs of them and talk about them in a post. Michaels Craft Store Spring 2023 Faux Topiary Decor

Last week, I went to Michaels Craft store to look for some craft supplies. I ended up not finding anything I needed, but I did find some cute Spring home decor! I didn’t buy anything I saw either, but I did find cute faux topiary decor!

These topiaries are in fun shapes. It has been a while since I saw something like this in person, so I decided to take photographs of them. Sometimes do this in order to see if something will work well in my house. These topiary didn’t look right in my house, but I still enjoyed looking at them.

Spring Solstice is today, so I wanted to write a post to celebrate the new season. After thinking about what to write, I decided to write a post about four of the topiary I saw. I don’t know if anyone cares about them, but I wanted to write something I knew I’d enjoy writing. So here we are! Continue reading “Michaels Craft Store Spring 2023 Faux Topiary Decor”

Thoughts on My Spring 2020 Fireplace Decor

It’s August and it’s about time I start looking at the decorations I have up to consider what I want to keep out on display until late September and what I don’t. After going around my house, I feel torn about taking down my current decor display on the fireplace.

I put it up in March, right before lock downs took place due to Covid-19. It turned out to be the display I needed to get through this trying time. It is a simple decoration, a magnolia leaf garland I bought at Michael’s craft store on sale in Spring 2019 and a picture frame with a plexiglass with the words “Grow through what you go through” I bought in Target’s Dollar Stop also in Spring 2019.

My Mismatched Quarantine Holiday Decor- April 2020

In March, when I began to get ready putting up my Easter decorations, I also did a mini clean out and organize of some of the things in my house. During my cleaning spree, I found some decorations I love but didn’t put up because I couldn’t find them in time to decorate for the holiday. Even though I wanted to mainly focus on Easter decor, I decided to put up some of my rediscovered holiday decor for fun. Continue reading “My Mismatched Quarantine Holiday Decor- April 2020”

Favorite Vintage Inspired Clothing for Spring 2019

As much as I love modern clothes, I love vintage inspired clothes more. I love them so much because the styles draw inspiration from clothing of the past. Because of this, vintage inspired clothing always looks stylish and will never go out of style. This spring, there are modern clothing stores that carry vintage inspired clothes. Since I enjoy looking at them so much, I decided to pick a few of my favorites that will work for springtime. The stores I found the clothes at are vintage inspired clothing stores, but I also included a few dresses from Dillard’s. None of the clothes in this post are accurate vintage clothing reproductions, but are inspired by vintage clothing. Continue reading “Favorite Vintage Inspired Clothing for Spring 2019”

Essie Spring Nail Polish- Tiers of Joy

A week or so after painting my nails with Essie’s limited edition spring collection A Touch of Sugar, my nail polish wore off so badly I needed to either repaint them with the same color, or take off the color and paint my nails with a different color. I decided to paint my nails a different color. The color I picked was the second nail polish color I picked up in Essie’s limited edition spring collection: Tiers of Joy.

I really love this nail color! The color is a mix of purple and mint green that shifts depending on how the light hits it.

I do not have anything like this color in my nail polish collection, so I’m happy to have it.

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
