Michaels Stores’ Give Thanks Fall 2025 Decorations

Fall decorations have changed a lot over the years. Although there are the normal and expected decorations, such as pumpkins, leaves, and more, sometimes there are themes that are unusual and… well… odd. Especially in more recent years.

This year, Michaels has a collection called “Give Thanks”. The collection includes many of the expected fall related items, but this time they would be perfect for Thanksgiving. Now-en days, I don’t see many decorations that would work for Thanksgiving celebrations. This collection, on the other hand, has many things that would be perfect for decorating for Thanksgiving.

Home Goods Haul- October 2024

After many months, I went shopping at Home Goods in October. I went for the sole reason to buy seasonal kitchen towels. My old fall and Christmas themed towels had finally worn out so I needed new ones. I really liked the way the towels I purchased earlier this year worked, so I decided to see if there were similar quality towels available in fall and Christmas theme. While shopping, I decided to purchase a blanket to replace an old blanket as well.

Book Review: From Harvest to Home by Alicia Tenise Chew and Tom McGovern

Earlier this year, I decide to read the book From Harvest to Home by Alicia Tenise Chew and Tom McGovern. Alicia wrote the book while Tom took the photographs inside the book. It is a book about “seasonal activities, inspired decor, and cozy recipes for Fall”. I wanted to see what it is like, so I decided to read it in spring so I’d know if there were ideas I want to use in the fall.

Since I read it in the spring, I decided to wait until the fall to write a review about the book.

Walmart Fall 2024 Throw Pillows

I just finished writing posts about the fall decor at Walmart this year. Among the fall decor was throw pillows. I debated if I should include the throw pillows in the 2024  fall decor posts, but I decided to dedicate a separate post to them.

My local Walmart does carry throw pillows, but they normally have the seasonal throw pillows available at larger Walmarts. This year, they began to carry more seasonal throw pillows. For the fall, there were multiple pillows available. I was happy to see them available.

Making My Own Pumpkin Puree for Pumpkin Pies- Part 2

Earlier this fall, I wrote a post about trying to make my own pumpkin puree out of a pumpkin I purchased in store. I wanted to use the puree to make pumpkin pies out of. I was worried I purchased the wrong type of pumpkin for pies. Sadly, I was right. So, in late October, I went searching for a new pumpkin that would be good for pies. I found not one, but two pumpkins. They are small but I was very happy to find them!

Tree Hut Fall 2022 Skin Care at Ulta Beauty

At my local Ulta Beauty, there are still quite a few fall themed beauty products still available. Well, they were available when I shopped at the store in late October! I was amazed how many fall products were still available. They did depend on the brand and the kind of product, but overall, there were many products available.

Since I am talking about all the holiday gift sets available at Ulta Beauty, I wanted to dedicate more posts about all the fall skincare products I saw at Ulta Beauty last month. I wanted to start out with one of my favorite skincare brands: Tree Hut. Continue reading “Tree Hut Fall 2022 Skin Care at Ulta Beauty”

Too Faced’s 2020 Pumpkin Spice Holiday Collection at Ulta Beauty

A while ago, I went to Ulta Beauty to see what the make up holiday collections and gift sets looks like. While there, I saw Too Faced’s 2020 holiday collection. Although I saw the whole collection in store, I wanted to talk about the make up that would be great for fall or Thanksgiving as well as Christmas. Thoughts on the 2020 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and Local Parades Changes

A while ago, Macy’s announced that they will hold the 94th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 26, 2020. Due to the pandemic, the parade will be different. It will be televised only and there will be additional changes to avoid person to person contact, including using vehicles to tether the huge balloons instead of using people as balloon handlers. Although I’m super happy to see the parade, and understand why there are changes to the parade in order to stay safe, I also discovered that a local Christmas light parade will be implementing changes in order to help avoid person to person contact.

After discovering the changes for the local Christmas light parade, I felt surprised that they would still hold some sort of event. I believed the organizers of the Christmas light parade would be ready to cancel the event, but I’m glad they’re not. According to the website, they will not hold a parade to prevent crowds from gathering on the side of the road to watch the parade. Instead, they will have the entrants for the parade parked in a line and attendees of the event will walk by each float.

I must admit, seeing the Thanksgiving Day Parade pre-recorded makes me sad as does not being able to see the local light parade take place, but I’m at the point emotionally when I need anything to enjoy the holiday season. Even though the parades will not be the same as previous years and will be socially distance focused, I’m happy to know the event planners for both the Thanksgiving Day Parade and the local light parade are trying to make it fun and exciting anyway.

Even though this holiday season will be different than other year’s, I’m still excited for it and can’t wait to celebrate!

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!

My Mismatched Quarantine Holiday Decor- April 2020

In March, when I began to get ready putting up my Easter decorations, I also did a mini clean out and organize of some of the things in my house. During my cleaning spree, I found some decorations I love but didn’t put up because I couldn’t find them in time to decorate for the holiday. Even though I wanted to mainly focus on Easter decor, I decided to put up some of my rediscovered holiday decor for fun. Continue reading “My Mismatched Quarantine Holiday Decor- April 2020”
