Movie Review: Hallmark Channel’s Christmas at Dollywood (2019)

Published on by essieofwhoLeave a comment

Last year, while on a visit to one of my friend’s home, we talked about Hallmark Channel Christmas movies. We talked about how silly and ridiculous many of them are as well as some of our favorites. One of my friends suggested I watch Christmas at Dollywood whenever it comes out on DVD. It sounded like a movie I would enjoy watching, especially since Dolly Parton is in the movie, so I made sure to keep an eye out for a DVD of it. After searching, I finally found one at my closest Walmart in October. I bought it and, after watching it, I can finally say what think of the movie. Top 5 Weirdest Christmas Presents I Ever Asked For

Published on by essieofwhoLeave a comment

In November, while talking to my friends, they began to joke about all the weird things they asked for as presents over the years. I, of course, am no exception. In fact, the reason why this conversation started was because I asked for something odd for Christmas to make my life easier. As our joking continued, I began to realize all the weird things I asked for over the years for Christmas, specifically dealing with my main hobbies of sewing, knitting, crafting, and art.

After remembering all the weird, odd, or unusual presents I asked for over the years, I thought it would make a great post for Blogmas. So, here are five of the weirdest Christmas present requests I ever made, which are more functional and needed than people may think. Favorite Walmart Christmas Tree Ornaments for 2020

Published on by essieofwhoLeave a comment

After shopping at Walmart’s Christmas section for the past few weeks, I found a few Christmas tree ornaments that stood out to me and quickly became my favorites. Although it’s still November, I wanted to share some photographs of my favorite ornaments. The ornaments in this post are sold individually, not in a set, and do not include any Hallmark ornaments or officially licensed ornaments. I did find many Hallmark ornaments and ornament sets I really liked, but I decided not to share them in this post. Continue reading “Favorite Walmart Christmas Tree Ornaments for 2020” →

Too Faced Holiday 2020 Gift Sets at Ulta Beauty- Part 1

Published on by essieofwhoLeave a comment

In October, I went to Ulta Beauty to look at the new Too Faced holiday gift sets for 2020. I tried many times over in September to look at the gift sets in store, but the store didn’t get any gift sets, Too Faced or any other brand, until October. I’m happy I could see the sets in store and decide what kind of sets I want to buy for myself or for others.

Even though I went to the store to look for gift sets to give as gifts or as a gift to myself, I took photographs of them in order to decide what I wanted to buy and what I didn’t. Since I had so many photographs, I decided to write a series of posts about the holiday gift sets I saw at Ulta Beauty, starting with the Too Faced gift sets. More Favorite Musicals for the 2019 Holiday Season

Published on by essieofwhoLeave a comment

Ok, I need to admit something. I’m running out of post ideas for Blogmas. None the less, I felt inspired talking about my favorite holiday musicals so I decided to talk about them for another day!

Yesterday, I listed all my favorite musicals for 2019. Along the way, I forgot to list some of my favorites, including the well known holiday musical White Christmas. *hangs head in shame* Fortunately for me, I can save my internet face and list some more musicals I love to watch during the holiday season. And, since I’m writing this post in such an impromptu fashion, I can honestly say I will probably forget to list some more holiday musicals. Still, I hope I list musicals that everyone can enjoy watching!

As with my previous post, which can be seen here, I am only listing the musicals that can be seen in movie form and can either be downloaded, streamed, or purchased on DVD or Blue Ray. Continue reading “More Favorite Musicals for the 2019 Holiday Season” →

Favorite Musicals for the 2019 Holiday Season

So, Cats the musical is out in theaters and so far it’s not very well liked. As a musical theater fan, I wanted to share a list of musical theater shows that are available on DVD, Blue-ray, digital download, or on streaming services that would be great to watch during the holiday season. Or, if you hate the 2019 movie version of Cats, to detox from the trip to the movie theater. Continue reading “Favorite Musicals for the 2019 Holiday Season” →

Ornament Feature: Celebration Barbie Hallmark Ornament

Christmas is almost here and I’m so excited! I enjoyed decorating my house this year and even had the chance to put my tree up! Although my tree is not big enough to hang all my ornaments on it, I’m still happy with the way it turned out!

One of the ornaments I didn’t get the chance to hang on my tree was my 2011 Celebration Barbie ornament from Hallmark. Continue reading “Ornament Feature: Celebration Barbie Hallmark Ornament” →

Bath and Body Works 2019 Holiday Product and Decor Appreciation Post

Published on by essieofwhoLeave a comment

Back in November and through out the month of December, while shopping at Bath and Body Works, I took some photographs in hopes of using them in posts. Those posts never materialized, but I still had the photographs. I loved the in store decorations, displays, products and, after taking with some of the Bath and Body Works employees, they put a lot of effort into creating the displays, so I decided to create a Bath and Body Works 2019 holiday product, display, and decor appreciation post. 2019 Christmas House Interior Decoration Progress- Part 2

Published on by essieofwhoLeave a comment

A few weeks ago, I talked about decorating the inside of my house for Christmas. Although it’s nearing Christmas, I have more decorating I need to do. I think I’m a bad blogger for not getting all my decorations up by now because it seems like all the bloggers, YouTubers, and people I follow on social media have their decorations up by now. But eh. Life didn’t turn out the way I hoped it would this month. Since I’m not done, I wanted to give everyone a progress update on how slow I am on decorating my house.
