Wicked Part 1 Toys at Walmart

Every year, toy companies like to release their best toys around Christmas time. This is also the time when movies with a target audience for children and families are released, as well as toys tied in with the film.

This year, I saw a lot of merchandise for Wicked Part 1. It was released in theaters in November 2024. Before the movie was released, the tie in toys were released.

At my local Walmart, these toys were released and some sold out quickly. Others were probably delayed and showed up after Black Friday. I enjoyed looking at the toys, so here are some of the highlights of the Wicked Part 1 toys.

5 Fictional Novels Published in 2020 to Give as Gifts

Because of the pandemic, I had time to read. Reading has become rare for me because I’m usually busy working or doing something else. Now that I’m stuck at home, I began to read and enjoy reading once again.

This renewed interest in reading has also made me focus on finding new books to add to my library. In 2020, the publication of many books was delayed, but many did get published. Since it’s the time of the year to give gifts, I wanted to list my five favorite fictional novels published in 2020 to give as gifts. I have yet to read all the books on this list, but I know these books are the most popular and are books I’m very excited to read. Because of this, I will not write a paragraph or two about why I like the books.

  1. Ready Player Two by Ernest Cline
  2. Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer
  3. A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins
  4. The Ickabog by JK Rowling
  5. The Betrothed by Kiera Cass

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!

5 Favorite Fashion Books to Give as Gifts for Christmas 2020

For many years, I collect fashion books. Some of them are for specific collections or fashion houses, others are about fashion styles from specific time periods. Some are coffee table books while others are actually textbooks that are used by colleges and professional costume designers to create historically accurate books. And, like anyone who has a large library of books on a specific subject, I have books I love more than others.

Recently, I started to go through my library of fashion books and realized some of the books in my collection would make great gifts for anyone who wants to give one to a friend or family member for Christmas. I narrowed down the group of books to five of my favorite fashion books that would make great gifts for Christmas. As of December 2020, all the books on this list are still in print and are in my own personal collection. Some may be more expensive than others, but I’m capping the price point of under $100 USD. All the books are currently available on Amazon as of December 2020. Continue reading “5 Favorite Fashion Books to Give as Gifts for Christmas 2020”

Top 5 Weirdest Christmas Presents I Ever Asked For

In November, while talking to my friends, they began to joke about all the weird things they asked for as presents over the years. I, of course, am no exception. In fact, the reason why this conversation started was because I asked for something odd for Christmas to make my life easier. As our joking continued, I began to realize all the weird things I asked for over the years for Christmas, specifically dealing with my main hobbies of sewing, knitting, crafting, and art.

After remembering all the weird, odd, or unusual presents I asked for over the years, I thought it would make a great post for Blogmas. So, here are five of the weirdest Christmas present requests I ever made, which are more functional and needed than people may think. What I Got Myself for Christmas 2019

Now that Christmas and New Year’s are over, I think it’s finally safe to admit I’m guilty of buying myself some Christmas gifts this year. Actually I purchased myself more items during the holiday season than I did gifts. Some may read this as being selfish and only thinking of myself this year instead of others, but in truth I actually needed the things I purchased for myself. Plus, most of the items I purchased are seasonal while others came in gift sets and can only be purchased during the holiday season.

After buying things for myself, a few items stood out to me as more “gifts to myself” than things I actually needed. Even though it’s January, I wanted to share all the items I purchased myself that I didn’t need but wanted (and can use) anyway.
