Movie Review: A Merry Scottish Christmas (2023)

Every Christmas season, Hallmark releases many Christmas themed romance movies. In most recent years, I felt overwhelmed by the amount of movies Hallmark releases ever holiday season. For the most part, I like them, but I don’t really love them.

In 2023, Hallmark released A Merry Scottish Christmas. When I watched it for the first time, I was really impressed by it. Since then, I’ve dwelled on the movie and how different it is from other royal Christmas romance movies I’ve watched over the past few years. This brought me to decided to write a review about it for Blogmas.

Movie Review: Hats Off To Christmas! (2013)

The early to mid 2010’s was the time when I would watch the Hallmark Channel movies the most. I looked forward to every holiday season when new movies would be released. In 2013, one of the movies I was excited to see was Hats Off To Christmas!.

Hats Off To Christmas! seemed like a cheesy name for a movie, but it wasn’t the reason why I wanted to watch it. It was because Hailey Duff, Hilary Duff’s sister, would star in the movie. Earlier this year, I was reminded of the movie online. I didn’t have this blog back when the movie premiered, so I thought it is about time I write a review about it before I forget about it again!

Movie Review: Let It Snow (2013)

Last fall, I began to binge watch Hallmark movies that were available to watch for free with ads. I had multiple movies to pick from including some of Hallmark’s famous Christmas romances. For the most part I remember watching most of them, but the one I remember liking was Let It Snow. It has been a while since I watched it, so I decided to watch it again.

Now that it’s Christmas time again, I wanted to include a review for the movie for this year’s Blogmas posts.

Movie Review: Pumpkin Pie Wars (2016)

Whenever I’m working from home, I sometimes put on movies and TV shows to listen to in the background. Last year, I found YouTube movies had Pumpkin Pie Wars available to watch. I remember watching it in 2016, but I forgot most of it. Since it was available to watch for free with ads, I decided to put it on while I worked.

Now that it is fall, I decided now would be a good time to write my review of it!

Book Review: A Royal Christmas Wish by Lizzie Shane

A few years ago, I read A Royal Christmas Wish from Hallmark Publishing. At that time, there were many things happening so it took me a while to finish the book. Years later, I rediscovered the book and decided to reread it in order to see if I would like it more a second time. Last year, I reread it for Christmas but didn’t get to finish it until after Christmas ended. This year, I decided to finally publish the review post I wrote about it! Movie Review: Good Morning Christmas! (2020)

Every year, Hallmark releases a plethora of clean romantic Christmas themed movies. Sometimes, they are good. Sometimes they aren’t. Still, I enjoy trying to watch as many as I can. (I’m a sucker for clean romantic movies and books!)

Good Morning Christmas! premiered in 2020. I purchased a DVD version of it as part of a three movie set that I purchased in 2021. Since then, I have watched it multiple times and now feel like it is a good time to write a review about it. After all, I have multiple years to watch it and think about it!

Hallmark Ornaments and My Shopping Decisions for Ornaments This Year

Every year, I shop for new ornaments to add to my collection. I have my ball ornaments that I don’t replace unless I need to, so I normally shop for more unique ornaments. In years past, my favorite place to shop for these ornaments has been Hallmark. It is a family tradition to shop for ornaments at Hallmark and I budget for it every year. This year, I decided not to shop at Hallmark for my ornaments.

A Few Thoughts on My Larger-Than-Expected Hallmark Christmas Movie DVD Collection

Recently, I began to sort through my DVDs collection. Overall, I am happy with my DVD collection, but there was one thing that surprised me about it: I have a lot of Hallmark Christmas movies on DVD!

I had no idea I collected that many over the years! There are well over 20 movies in my collection (I’m lowballing my estimate) and many of them I already watched. I also don’t want to get rid of them either.

Even though there are people who will say to get rid of them because I have too many, I won’t. I did get rid of a few, but I don’t want to get rid of most of them. After looking in awe and amazement over my large collection, I realized a few things about myself I didn’t think about. Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Dream Book 2023 is Out Now (And Where to Find It)

Every May, Hallmark releases its Hallmark Keepsake ornament book. The book, formally called the Hallmark Keepsake Dream Book, has all the Christmas and other holiday ornaments the store will be selling later on in the year.

This year, I have trouble getting to my closest Hallmark Gold Crown store. My old favorite closed last year and the other one is closer, yet I can’t travel to it this month. Instead, I decided to talk about where to find the dream book without walking into a store.

You can download a digital copy of it from Hallmark’s official website. The ornament official website is located here, the Dream Book can be downloaded here, and the Wish List can be downloaded here. Both the Dream Book and the Wish List are PDF files and, once downloaded, can be printed. As for finding a hard copy of the dream book and the wish list, Hallmark does not allow ordering it off their website. Instead, they can be found in their stores.

As for the Wish List, there are two ways of creating it. There is a way online and the other is by printing off the Wish List and taking it to a Hallmark Gold Crown store. If you create a Wish List online, then you automatically entered into Hallmark’s sweepstakes to win your whole Wish List for free. According to Hallmark’s website, in honor of the Dream Book’s 50th Anniversary, 50 people will win their Wish List. The sweepstakes can only be entered online. All paper Wish Lists are not eligible.

Like I already mentioned, this is the 50th Anniversary of the Dream Book. If you are a huge fan of Hallmark and love to collect all the copies of the Dream Books, then you may want to consider going to a Hallmark store and picking up the book in person.

Finally, if want previous years Dream Books, then look on the main page for this year’s Dream Book. Hallmark has links to PDF versions of previous years books. They go up to 2010 and are free to download. Hard copies of previous years Dream Book are not available.

I hope this helped all the Hallmark ornament fans who are looking for the new Dream Book! If any of the links don’t work, then please let me know. The links should work for the 2023 Dream Book only.

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!

Books I Read This Month and What I Think of Them- January 2023

It’s almost February and I have no idea where the time gone. Actually, I do, but it still feels weird that February is almost here. During the month of January, I had time to sit down and read books. This is unusual for me because January is one of the busiest times of the year for me work wise. For January 2023, I took time I would normally watch TV and spent it reading books. I didn’t like what was usually on TV anymore, so reading was a great way to spend time enjoying a story a TV will never be able to provide for me.

This month, I read many books. Out of those books, I finished reading three. I considered talking about all the books I read in this post, but, for the sake of not making the post too long, I decided to talk about the three books I finished reading.
