Movie Review: A Princess for Christmas (2011)

Every holiday season, I enjoy watching Hallmark Christmas movies. For anyone who read this blog for a while, this probably comes as no surprise. Even though I enjoy the new movies that are released every year, there are a handful of movies that I enjoy watching more than all the new and old movies Hallmark makes. One of these movies is A Princess for Christmas.

Book Review: Sunrise Cabin by Stacey Donovan

A few years ago, I decided to go on a book shopping spree. One of the books I found was Sunrise Cabin by Stacey Donovan. It is a romance novel published by Hallmark Publishing. I read it for the first time around the time when I purchased it, but I reread it earlier this year as a way to relieve some stress I was under at that time. I seriously considered writing a review and posting it around the time I reread it, but I decided to hold off publishing the review until it was closer to fall. The plot of the story takes place in the fall, so it would be more suitable to publish a review of the book closer the start of fall.

Book Review: Love by Chance by Kacy Cross

When my favorite Hallmark Gold Crown store was closing, I went inside to do some last time shopping. While in there, I found a few books and DVDs from Hallmark still available. They were on sale for a deep discount, so I decided to buy them. One of the books I purchased was Love by Chance by Kacy Cross.

I wanted to read it first before the other books I purchased because it is not a Christmas themed novel. The other two novel I purchased are Christmas themed novels. At the time I was not in a Christmas novel mood, so I decided to read Love by Chance first. Continue reading “Book Review: Love by Chance by Kacy Cross”

Movie Review- Love on Safari (2018)

While obeying the State of Arizona’s order to stay at home throughout the month of April, I became so sick and tired of watching whatever was on TV that I began to watch many of the DVDs I never watched in my DVD collection. I was always too busy to watch them, but now I can work or do whatever I desire while watching them.

Around Valentine’s Day, I purchased some Hallmark Channel videos at Walmart. One of the was Love on Safari. Out of all the DVDs I purchased at that time, I was the most excited to watch Love on Safari. In February, I was able to watch it, enjoyed it, and set it aside to watch all the others. Since I’m at home watching my DVDs, I decided to start by rewatching Love on Safari.

Disclaimer: This review does contain spoilers for the movie. So if you don’t want to know about the movie before you watch, then please stop reading now. Continue reading “Movie Review- Love on Safari (2018)”

Movie Review: The Christmas Ornament (2013)

A few years ago, I purchased a four movie DVD set of Hallmark Christmas movies. I already watched these movies, but I decided to purchase the set anyway. The reason is because I wanted to keep a copy of each of the movies in a place where I knew I would spend a lot of time and would probably need a cheerful holiday movie to brighten my spirits. The four movie set was the most economical way to accomplish this.

Recently, I started going through the DVDs I kept in the area and rediscovered the DVD set. I was going through a very stressful time and began watching the movies in the set to cheer me up and give me some piece. One of the movies from the set is The Christmas Ornament. Movie Review- A Nashville Christmas (2020)

Last year, when the Hallmark Channel announced their Countdown to Christmas lineup for 2020, they announced many movies that peeked my interest. One of the movies I wanted to watch the most is A Nashville Christmas Carol. It was advertised to have multiple country singers in the movie playing characters. Because of the country singers, and the fact it has a country music feel to the whole entire story, I wanted to watch the movie.

In November, the Walmart closest to where I live put out the Hallmark Channel Christmas movies on DVD. One of the movies they put out was A Nashville Christmas Carol. Once I saw it, I picked up a copy and, when I had the time, I watched the movie. Continue reading “Movie Review- A Nashville Christmas (2020)”

Movie Review: A Christmas Love Story (2019)

In 2019, the Hallmark Channel announced one of their new movies for their Countdown to Christmas will be a movie called A Christmas Love Story. It interested me, but I didn’t think about watching it until I found out one of the stars of the movie is Kristen Chenoweth. I am a fan of Kristen Chenoweth, so I knew I would like to watch the movie. Unfortunately, I did not have the Hallmark Channel so I waited until the movie was released on DVD to watch it.

Movie Review: A Very Merry Mix-Up (2013)

Earlier this month, I wrote a review about the movie, The Christmas Ornament. I purchased it as part of a movie set of four movies from the Hallmark Channel. Since I already watched one movie, I decided to watch another. This time, I picked A Very Merry Mix-up. Continue reading “Movie Review: A Very Merry Mix-Up (2013)”

New Hallmark Channel Holiday Movies I’m Curious to Watch- 2021

Today is the first day of the Hallmark Channel’s Count Down to Christmas. I will not be able to watch the movies on the Hallmark Channel because I don’t have the Hallmark Chanel (Nor a streaming subscription), but I’m very excited to see some of the new movies. Even though I will need to wait a while to see the movies, I still wanted to talk about a few of the new holiday movies that peaked my interest this year.

Movie Review: Hallmark Channel’s Christmas at Dollywood (2019)

Last year, while on a visit to one of my friend’s home, we talked about Hallmark Channel Christmas movies. We talked about how silly and ridiculous many of them are as well as some of our favorites. One of my friends suggested I watch Christmas at Dollywood whenever it comes out on DVD. It sounded like a movie I would enjoy watching, especially since Dolly Parton is in the movie, so I made sure to keep an eye out for a DVD of it. After searching, I finally found one at my closest Walmart in October. I bought it and, after watching it, I can finally say what think of the movie.
