Book Review: Conagher: A Novel by Louis L’Amore

I have a handful of books by Louis L’Amour that I wanted to read or reread. Conagher is one of them. I really love the movie because it is more of a love story than a normal Western can be. (To me at least) Since I love the movie, I wanted to read the book.

I already read the book once before, but I thought I forgot most of the book. Recently, I had time to sit down and read. So, I picked up Conagher again and began to reread it. Continue reading “Book Review: Conagher: A Novel by Louis L’Amore”

Books I Read This Month and What I Think of Them- January 2023

It’s almost February and I have no idea where the time gone. Actually, I do, but it still feels weird that February is almost here. During the month of January, I had time to sit down and read books. This is unusual for me because January is one of the busiest times of the year for me work wise. For January 2023, I took time I would normally watch TV and spent it reading books. I didn’t like what was usually on TV anymore, so reading was a great way to spend time enjoying a story a TV will never be able to provide for me.

This month, I read many books. Out of those books, I finished reading three. I considered talking about all the books I read in this post, but, for the sake of not making the post too long, I decided to talk about the three books I finished reading. Book Review- Flint by Louis L’Amour

Although this blog has been around for three years, I have yet to write posts about everything I originally planned to. At this time I cannot write posts about everything I originally planned to (Mostly because of the Coronavirus/Covid-19) but there are a few things I can write posts about. One of those things are book reviews.

Recently, while trying to occupy my time with something besides watching the same TV shows over and over again and binge watching YouTube videos, I decided to look through my fairly large book collection to see if there was a book that caught my eye and I could read. The first book that caught my eye was Flint by Louis L’Amour, a well known author of Western novels.

I purchased Flint from Walmart in 2016 right before a music festival was to take place. Although I already read it, the book I read was a borrowed book from a friend. Since it was for sale at Walmart, I decided to buy it so I could have my own copy and take longer to read the book and enjoy it. Although I theoretically should’ve had the time to read my copy of the book at that time, 2016 was a very physically, mentally, and emotionally tumultuous year for me and I didn’t have the energy or stamina to read anything. So, it sat with my other unread books until I rediscovered it last month. Continue reading “Book Review- Flint by Louis L’Amour”

Books I’m Currently Reading- August 2020

August was a strange month for me personally, so I didn’t feel motivated to try or do new things. Despite this, I started reading new books and tried to finish others. Here are some of the new books I started to read in August. Continue reading “Books I’m Currently Reading- August 2020”
