Daily Writing Prompt: Who are your favorite people to be around?

WordPress is still doing their daily writing prompts. For quite some time, I’ve been ignoring them because I don’t want to answer the questions or talk about the topic. (There are some things I just will never want to talk about online…) Sometimes, I see one I like but decide not to use it. Today, I’m stuck trying to figure out what to blog about. This is when I saw one of WordPress’ daily writing prompts: Who are your favorite people to be around?

This was something I’ve been lamenting about on a regular basis for years. I have people I want to be around: My friends.

The Sale of Warner Brothers, The CW, and Panic Buying My Favorite TV Shows on DVD

The sale of Warner Brothers has been really huge news for quite some time. It isn’t every day a studio as large, well known, and is over 100 years old begins the process to sell it’s assets (Including the actual studios, catalogue, and more) and start to close it’s doors.

When I heard about it, it was just a small rumbling my friends heard about. Now, we know what they heard wasn’t a rumor and it was the truth. Yet, I began to wonder what would happen if Warner Brothers did close. What would happen to a lot of movies and TV shows I love? Will they still exist on DVD still or will they be available via streaming services only?

After thinking about this for months, I finally decided to star buying my favorite TV shows and movies on DVD.

Twilight Deluxe Limited Edition Book Feature

In late 2025, there was a lot of buzz about Stephanie Meyer’s novel, Twilight. It turned 20 years old in 2025. In honor of this anniversary, two new versions of Twilight were released. The first was a 20th anniversary paperback edition. The second was a deluxe limited edition.

I own both versions of the book and like both. Even though they were really popular online, I still wanted to write my own post about these books. The first book I want to talk about is the limited edition.

Starting to Clean Out My Stuff Again After Letting My Pulled Muscles Heal

Last year, I pulled muscles while cleaning things out of my house. After deciding to continue cleaning, I quickly realized these pulled muscles were not ordinary pulled muscles. Yes, they were pulled muscles, but I pulled them really badly. So badly I couldn’t walk, bend down, or lift anything really heavy. My movement was limited, especially since I pulled muscles all over my body.

Once I realized this, I began to cut back on the amount of cleaning work I was doing. When that was too much for me, I began to clean less and less. After cutting back as much as I thought I could, I decided to just stop cleaning (Aside from normal home cleaning such as cleaning the bathroom, sweeping the floor, ect.) until my muscles healed.

This past weekend my muscles have healed enough for me to start cleaning again.

Favorite Valentine’s Day 2026 Decorations from Walmart

Last month, the Walmart I normally shop at put their Valentine’s Day decorations on shelves. After browsing what Walmart had, I found some decorations I liked, but not enough to buy them at that time.

Since Valentine’s Day is next week, I want to show my Valentine’s Day favorite decorations for sale at Walmart.

Books I Read in January 2026

January 2026 was a month that didn’t turn out quite like I expected. I thought there would be a lot of problems throughout the month. Even though here were many problems, the problems were far more manageable than I thought there would be. One of these problems was things at work was slow.

Since things were slow, I decided to take any off time I had to focus on working on anything that needed to be done. I was able to sew a lot, clean a lot, and declutter my things more. I also read a lot. By the end of the month, I had finished eight books, which is more than I normally read in a month. This was because I had more time than normal to read and I read instead of watched TV.

Bloomingdale’s x Wuthering Heights Collection Favorites

Last month, I discovered that Bloomingdale’s has a new collaboration in their stores. This collaboration is with the movie Wuthering Heights and the studio releasing it, Warner Brothers. The movie, which will being it’s theatrical run on February 13, 2026, will star Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi and is inspired by the English novel by Emily Bronte. The collection is part of Bloomingdale’s pop up shop called The Carousel at Bloomingdale’s. The collection is available at Bloomingdale’s in store and online until February 22.

I haven’t thought about Wuthering Heights until the buzz around the 2026 movie started. (‘m not a big fan of the book, so I didn’t think I would see anything I would like in the collection. Much to my surprise, I did find things in the collection I really like! The pieces in the collection, which includes clothes, jewelry, fragrances, beauty products, and more, has a gothic look to it, yet it I think it is very wearable.

After browsing the collection, I decided to pick my favorite items in the collection and feature them in a post. Before I show my favorite items in the collection, I wanted to mention a few things. Bloomingdale’s is a luxury department store, so the prices will reflect that.  All the clothing and jewelry in this post are by the brand AQUA. The napkin rings are by Kim Seybert. And finally, all the product photographs in this post are from Bloomingdale’s website.

An Update on My Eczema and Allergies- January 2025

For the past few years, I’ve been focusing on improving my eczema and reducing the amount of allergens in my food. I’m happy to say that I’m doing much better! I’m not completely eczema free and I don’t have any food based allergic reactions anymore, but the constant swelling in my body due to my allergies has gone done a lot. Also, my skin is healing from the eczema.

There are a few reasons why this happened, but the main reasons are because of major changes to my diet, major changes to my lifestyle, and I found a body wash that works great for my skin.

I Have a New Basil Plant!

A few months ago, I went shopping for my groceries. On that day, they had new plants available to purchase. Some of those plants were herbs.

I browsed them and liked how healthy they looked. I wanted to buy another basil plant for months, but I debated if I should purchase one again. I normally buy my plants from a Walmart I normally shop at, but for the past few years my plants have died due to issues with fungus and bugs. (I think it has to do with the location of the Walmart to nearby farm fields.) Since I have issues with these plants, and the grocery store had really nice, healthy plants, I decided to buy a basil plant from the grocery store.

Juliette Has a Gun Pear Inc. Fragrance Review

A few years ago, I decided to search for new fragrances from brands I can’t find as frequently as others. One of the brands that caught my eye was Juliette Has a Gun. During a shopping trip to Sephora, I decided to try Pear Inc. in store and loved the scent of it. Since then, I’ve been using it on and off, giving me time to think about it and decide if I still love the fragrance or not.
