A Little Update on What I’ve Been Doing on My Blogging Break & Why I Don’t Want to Post About It

For the past few weeks, during my blogging break, I’ve been working on cleaning out my house. It was not the only thing I did during my break, but it is the activity that took up most of my free time. I have a lot of things in my house and it’s time to let a lot of them go. I wanted to do this major clean out of my house for many years, and I have been going through my things for years and getting rid of them, but that wasn’t enough. So, I’m committed to focus on cleaning out my house as much as possible whenever I have the time to do it.

Since this takes time, I haven’t been able to think of a lot of a lot of blog post ideas. Even if I have ideas, I don’t have the time and/or energy to work on them. Still, I’m thinking about things and wondering what direction I want to take my blog and posts towards.

During my clean out, I found many things I want to get rid of, but don’t want to talk about online. I just want to search through things, decide what to do with them, and actually do what I decide to do with them. I don’t want the added stress of explaining my reasons for my decisions online!

Gain x Wicked: For Good Fantabulous Floral Flings Laundry Detergent Review

In 2025, the laundry detergent brand Gain, as well as many other brands, released collaboration collections to promote the movie, Wicked: For Good. The collection Gain released included a detergent and two in-wash scent boosters.

During a shopping trip to my favorite Walmart, I found the Gain collection for sale. It had the detergent and one of the two scent boosters. I debated if I wanted to buy them, but after shopping around the store some more, I decided to buy the detergent and scent boosters.

I originally planed on using the detergent and scent boosters and then write a review on this blog before the end of 2025. Unfortunately, things got in my way, causing me to delay using both the detergent and scent booster for my wash. Even though it is 2026, I wanted to talk about my experience using them in posts. As of the publishing of this post, the only product I was able to finish using is the detergent. Because of this, I want to talk about the detergent first.

Starting to Clean Out My Stuff Again After Letting My Pulled Muscles Heal

Last year, I pulled muscles while cleaning things out of my house. After deciding to continue cleaning, I quickly realized these pulled muscles were not ordinary pulled muscles. Yes, they were pulled muscles, but I pulled them really badly. So badly I couldn’t walk, bend down, or lift anything really heavy. My movement was limited, especially since I pulled muscles all over my body.

Once I realized this, I began to cut back on the amount of cleaning work I was doing. When that was too much for me, I began to clean less and less. After cutting back as much as I thought I could, I decided to just stop cleaning (Aside from normal home cleaning such as cleaning the bathroom, sweeping the floor, ect.) until my muscles healed.

This past weekend my muscles have healed enough for me to start cleaning again.

Cleaning with Physical Health Problems (And Why It is Dragging Out the Process)

It has been over a month since I wrote a post about anything home repair and cleaning related. All throughout the month of October, I went back and forth if I should write about what is going on in my life. I decided not to because… well… things haven’t been going so well.

12 Things I’m Planning on Doing This Fall- 2024

The official start of fall was this past Sunday. Even though it seems it started in the end of July, I usually start trying to focus on fall themed activities after the fall equinox happens. Where I live, it is still really hot until the end of September. This year, it is still hot outside, but I decided to focus on my fall actitivites and plans anyway.

This year, I have a large list of things to do this fall. Sadly, not all of them will get done but I still aim to see as many of them get done this year. Even sadder is that I have a lot of things to do that aren’t that fun. They include working on my house.

For this fall season, I decided to write the top twelve things I’m planning on doing this fall. This is not the whole list of things I both want and need to do, but it is an acumulation of all the things I am the most intrested and/or serious about.

Softsoap Fall 2024 Hand Soap Collection

In August, my local Walmart began to carry the fall scented Softsoap hand soaps. I don’t like to use scented hand soaps anymore, but I still enjoy seeing them every season. This year, the soaps were available in both soap dispensers and refillable containers. I really enjoyed seeing them this year!

5 Movies I Own on DVD and VHS (And Will Get Rid of On VHS)

I’m currently in the process of going through my VHS tapes and deciding what to keep or get rid of. Yes. It is true. I’m doing this in 2024. Yet, I finally decided it is time to get my DVD collection into shape. This means getting rid of some of the movies I used to watch on VHS.

I decided to keep some of the VHS tapes that are sentimental to me (Such as the 1990’s Disney VHS tapes) but to get rid of all the tapes I own a DVD copy of. Out of all the movies I’m decluttering, these are the most easiest to let go of (Unless we’re talking about the Disney VHS tapes). Right now, I feel inspired to commemorate my love of these movies in a blog post. Again, I’m keeping all the DVD copies of them. Not the VHS copies.

Things I Recently Purchased for My House and Why- January 2024

For many years, I have wanted to make improvements in my house. Despite the fact most of the improvements are not something I can do myself (I don’t have the time, energy, know how, I need more people than just me to work on it, ect.) I am focusing on all the things I can do myself. This includes purchasing new things for the house!

For this post, I wanted to stick to the things I know for a fact I am currently using and am happy with. I have other things I purchased for the house, such as a cube bookcase for my closet, but I haven’t used them or they didn’t work out the way I planned them to. So, I decided not to talk about those things in this post.

My Summer Plans for 2023

Summer’s unofficial start is coming soon. For many people, it means it’s time to take advantage of this time of the year and do fun things. For me, I feel like my plans for this summer season are pretty flexible. I don’t have a lot of plans to do anything major or special, but if I see an opportunity to do something special, I will!

Even though my plans are pretty flexible, there are some major plans I want to do at least once this season. Some of them are things I want to continue after summertime begins while others are things that remind me summertimes, yet are more inexpensive than traveling.

5 Cleaning Supplies I Used on My Vehicle’s Interior

Last month, I started my spring cleaning for the year. One of the most important places to clean is my vehicle. My vehicle is new to me and, even though the engine is in great shape, the interior is not. It has plenty of problems inside it and needed to be cleaned badly. One of the problems is there is a lot of grease around the steering wheel, door handle, cup holders, and other places. I don’t want to go into details about the vehicle’s condition out of privacy for the previous owner, but yes. It was dirty.

I knew this before it was purchased, so I was already ready to clean it. Unfortunately, my vehicle had some unforeseen problems that required it to spend a long time at the repair shop. (It had to do with its computer) Since it was not at my home, I couldn’t clean it. Since then, I decided to do more research into cleaning it. I did find some things I could work around without the need purchase new products or new tools.

So far cleaning has gone pretty slowly due to a busy schedule. Even though I’m not as far along in my vehicle cleaning, I have made progress. Since I’m in the process to clean my vehicle, I decided to talk about five cleaning supplies I used to clean my vehicle so far. Even though I can take my vehicle to a professional auto detailer, I wanted to do it myself. That way I can see the condition of everything inside the vehicle and make a list of everything I need to have fixed without taking someone’s word for it.
