A Little Update on What I’ve Been Doing on My Blogging Break & Why I Don’t Want to Post About It

For the past few weeks, during my blogging break, I’ve been working on cleaning out my house. It was not the only thing I did during my break, but it is the activity that took up most of my free time. I have a lot of things in my house and it’s time to let a lot of them go. I wanted to do this major clean out of my house for many years, and I have been going through my things for years and getting rid of them, but that wasn’t enough. So, I’m committed to focus on cleaning out my house as much as possible whenever I have the time to do it.

Since this takes time, I haven’t been able to think of a lot of a lot of blog post ideas. Even if I have ideas, I don’t have the time and/or energy to work on them. Still, I’m thinking about things and wondering what direction I want to take my blog and posts towards.

During my clean out, I found many things I want to get rid of, but don’t want to talk about online. I just want to search through things, decide what to do with them, and actually do what I decide to do with them. I don’t want the added stress of explaining my reasons for my decisions online!

Normally, things like cleaning out/decluttering my house isn’t a major, important thing for me to talk about online. It’s just a part of everyone’s life and, since it is long overdue, I feel really embarrassed by how long it’s taken me to actually do as much as I need to. Yet, I feel like I have felt this major urge to talk about it. My feelings are that if it is important to me, I need to talk about it online.

The thing is I don’t need to talk about it online. There are many people online that make content about decluttering their homes and are comfortable to creating and posting it. I, on the other hand, don’t feel that way. I don’t want me, decluttering my house to be online for the world to see. I don’t want to deal with people who are strangers, looking at my content, probably passing judgement on me and the state of my house. I like my house to be tidy for guests, but, thanks to my cleaning and how intensive it is, my house is an absolute mess. So, I want privacy while I work on my house.

If anyone wants to post content about their house declutters, I’m not going to judge them. Believe it or not, watching and consuming content about decluttering is how I learned how to decide what I want to keep and not and if it is worth keeping around at all. I just hope they post what they feel comfortable showing to the world instead of feeling obligated to post something because it is what is currently going on in their lives.

That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
