Daily Writing Prompt: Who are your favorite people to be around?

WordPress is still doing their daily writing prompts. For quite some time, I’ve been ignoring them because I don’t want to answer the questions or talk about the topic. (There are some things I just will never want to talk about online…) Sometimes, I see one I like but decide not to use it. Today, I’m stuck trying to figure out what to blog about. This is when I saw one of WordPress’ daily writing prompts: Who are your favorite people to be around?

This was something I’ve been lamenting about on a regular basis for years. I have people I want to be around: My friends.

I really enjoy my time spent with them. We always have fun, talk non stop, laugh, and are there for each other. The only problem is I don’t get to see them like I want to.

Sadly, they have moved away from the area where I live. They, like me, have serious allergies to the area where I live (Thus why we bonded so well to each other. Sometimes it seems like we’re the only ones with allergy problems…) When they moved away, I was happy for them. In my eyes, they can now finally start to live healthy lives again! Yet, I’m still here, struggling with my allergies.

Talking to them whenever I get the chance, no matter how fleeting it is, makes me feel better. We talk about anything from what’s going on in our lives to news where we live to anything new we are reading. Eventually, I feel sad after we say goodby, but after talking to them I feel much better. I also learn more things about the world around me.

Although I enjoy being around a few of my relatives, (I had to cut ties with the others) I see them quite frequently. So, seeing them isn’t as special as it is when I see my friends. Yet, I still like being around them. Just not going to all places like my friends and I used to do!

I know that I am lucky and blessed to find such friends. There was a time when I didn’t have any friends to talk to! Even though it is now a long distance friendship, I feel happy knowing we are still pretty close.

That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
