Bloomingdale’s x Wuthering Heights Collection Favorites

Last month, I discovered that Bloomingdale’s has a new collaboration in their stores. This collaboration is with the movie Wuthering Heights and the studio releasing it, Warner Brothers. The movie, which will being it’s theatrical run on February 13, 2026, will star Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi and is inspired by the English novel by Emily Bronte. The collection is part of Bloomingdale’s pop up shop called The Carousel at Bloomingdale’s. The collection is available at Bloomingdale’s in store and online until February 22.

I haven’t thought about Wuthering Heights until the buzz around the 2026 movie started. (‘m not a big fan of the book, so I didn’t think I would see anything I would like in the collection. Much to my surprise, I did find things in the collection I really like! The pieces in the collection, which includes clothes, jewelry, fragrances, beauty products, and more, has a gothic look to it, yet it I think it is very wearable.

After browsing the collection, I decided to pick my favorite items in the collection and feature them in a post. Before I show my favorite items in the collection, I wanted to mention a few things. Bloomingdale’s is a luxury department store, so the prices will reflect that.  All the clothing and jewelry in this post are by the brand AQUA. The napkin rings are by Kim Seybert. Dillard’s Prom Dresses In Store Photographs 2022

Well, this is the last post featuring the prom dresses I took pictures of during a shopping trip to the mall. The mall I went to had three stores that sold dresses that are designated prom dresses. They include JcPenny’s and Macy’s. The third and final store was Dillards.

Back when I was a teenager, Dillards was always the store to go to if you wanted a prom dress. The dresses would always look pretty and have the most unique styles and designs. This year, I found many prom dresses available in a wide variety of colors. (It helped that I looked in early March) Even though there are many dresses, and I took many photographs of them for friends of mine that have daughters going to prom this year, I didn’t want to overload this post with photographs of dresses. Macy’s Prom Dress In Store Photographs 2022

After browsing JcPenny’s prom dress section, I went to Macy’s. At the mall I went to (and was shopping at that day), Macy’s, JcPenny, and Dillard’s department stores are located in the same mall. It’s just a matter of walking around the mall to get from store to store. After I arrived at Macy’s, I had a little trouble trying to find the prom dresses. The Junior’s section is where they used to be located, but this year they were moved to the women’s section.

This year’s selection of dresses is far larger than in previous years. I was surprised by the amount of dresses available for sale this year. I think the store wanted to stock more dresses this year because of the fact that this year is the first year since the start of the pandemic when people are allowed to be in close proximity with each other. Also, many schools are allowing prom to take place in the same way it did prior to the pandemic.

Prom season is back! This year’s prom season is an exciting one for me because a handful of my friends have children old enough to go to prom! Because of this, when I did my annual prom dress window shopping, I tried to keep an eye out for anything my friends and their children would like. Of course, I took photographs of the dresses for posts and just in case any of my friends want to see the collections available in stores.

One of the stores I wanted to look at was JcPenny’s. I wanted to see what kind of selection they have in store. I didn’t know if they would have many dresses available, but it does vary depending on the store. The store I went to didn’t have as much as I hoped, but the dresses that were available are very pretty. Still, I’m very happy with kind of dresses available at the store. After seeing the prom dresses at Macy’s and Dillard’s, I decided to go to JcPenny’s to see what kind of prom dresses they had for 2021. I had trouble finding a JcPenny’s that had prom dresses though, so it took me a while to find a JcPenny’s that had prom dresses in store. I did find a store with dresses, but the JcPenny’s didn’t have nearly as many dresses as Macy’s and Dillard’s. Even though the store did not have many dresses to see in person, I still found a few that I liked. I also was able to take photographs of the dresses in store. Macy’s Prom Dresses In Store Photographs 2021

Recently, I went to the mall for fun, return some items, and to window shop. While at Macy’s, I discovered the prom section is open in the Junior’s department. I didn’t look at prom dresses last year because of the pandemic. Not looking at the prom dresses made me sad. Even though I’m way beyond high school age, seeing the new dresses and what is now trendy for teenagers is always a highlight for me every spring.

At the Macy’s I went to, there were two mannequins at the front of the prom section. Beside the mannequins was a shelf full of formal handbags and shoes that would be appropriate for prom…

Favorites from Target’s Designer Dress Collection in June 2020

Today, Target will release their Designer Dress Collection. The collection has designs by designers Lisa Marie Fernadez, LoveShackFancy, and Cushnie. I love looking at Target’s Designer Collections to see if there is anything I would like to buy, but for this collection I tentatively decided not to buy anything. Favorites from Target’s 20 Years of Design for All- Anna Sui

Anna Sui is a designer I love but do not own very much by. This is why I’m so happy Target brought Anna Sui’s designs back as part of their design collaboration. Her designs in her 2009 collection was inspired by Gossip Girl and, even though I don’t like Gossip Girl, I love the fashions from the show.
