JcPenny’s Prom Dress In Store Photographs 2022

Prom season is back! This year’s prom season is an exciting one for me because a handful of my friends have children old enough to go to prom! Because of this, when I did my annual prom dress window shopping, I tried to keep an eye out for anything my friends and their children would like. Of course, I took photographs of the dresses for posts and just in case any of my friends want to see the collections available in stores.

One of the stores I wanted to look at was JcPenny’s. I wanted to see what kind of selection they have in store. I didn’t know if they would have many dresses available, but it does vary depending on the store. The store I went to didn’t have as much as I hoped, but the dresses that were available are very pretty. Still, I’m very happy with kind of dresses available at the store.

The prom dresses are almost always located in the Junior’s section. At the store I shopped at, the dresses could be found in the Junior’s section again, but the section was quite small. (Just a few full racks of prom dresses) Despite this, the store I shopped at had mannequins dressed in two of the prom dresses available to purchase at the store….

By the way, this is why I like to browse prom dresses at this JcPenny’s. Even though they may not have a large selection of prom dress, they still make an effort to show off the prom dresses and celebrate the season!

The dresses the mannequins wore are a red, cocktail style dress…

And a gold, full length dress with a silver rhinestone belt…

This is what the back of the red dress looked like…

And this is what the back of the gold dress looked like…

The gold dress is made out of a woven fabric with tulle overlay, but the red dress is made out of a stretchy fabric. I saw many prom dresses made out of stretchy fabric not only at JcPenny, but also in other stores I browsed. I’m glad to see it as a trend. When I went to prom, the only dresses available were like the gold dress. They looked beautiful, but they were hard to move around in. I can imagine the red dress feeling more comfortable after a night of dancing!

In addition to the red dress, there was a back dress made out of a stretch fabric…

I found the more form fitting and short skirted prom dresses were made out of stretchy, knit fabric. As for the dresses made out of woven fabric and full length gowns, there were quite a few. My favorite is is blue dress with silver, glitter floral design on it…

Top of the dress looks like this…

Also, here is a green full length dress I liked it as well…

And the top of the dress…

The final dress I saw and liked is this red dress…

(Sorry if the dress’ red coloring is off. While editing this photograph, I had trouble trying to adjust the color without saturating the red too much. It was dark in the store and provided poor lighting for taking photographs of the dress.)

Here is what the bodice of the dress looked like…

(This photograph is more accurate to the way the dress’ color looked in the store than the first photograph.)

This dress is made out of stretch/knit fabric. It wouldn’t be the kind of dress I would’ve wanted to wear as a teenager to prom (Or any of my friends’ children) because I (And my friend’s children) wanted to wear a ballgown to prom. Still, I know there are teenagers who would love to wear it. Even though I wanted to wear a ballgown to prom, I still like the dress a lot and could see myself wearing it. Just not for prom though!

Even though the store I shopped at didn’t have a large dress selection, there are still many pretty dresses on JcPenny’s website.

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
