5 Things to Make Sure You Have Before Family and Friends Stay at Your Home

This is the time of the year when people make an effort to visit their family and friends’ homes. Since this year will be the first year since the start of the Pandemic in 2020, it’s important to make use your have enough supplies before guests come over for a visit. Even though there are important supplies to have for guests, such as food, there are supplies I forgot in the past that I later regretted I didn’t have. This year I won’t be hosting guests, but I wanted to write a post about five things I learned to stock up on before guests arrive.

5 Tips to Decide if You’ll Enjoy Trendy Christmas Décor 5 Or More Years Later

There are many trends stores and brands like to promote. One of these trends are for Christmas decorations. The influence is everywhere. It’s on social media, in grocery stores, and in the decorations used by shopping areas, cities and towns, and places of business. This is why it can be hard to be a savvy shopper with a desire to shop carefully and mindfully of their budget as well as what they may actually like to own and continue to use for many years to come.

Since it can be so hard to decided if you’ll like the trendy Christmas decorations if you are constantly encouraged to shop, I made up five questions I always ask myself before I purchase something that is a decoration trend for the year.

5 Tips for Buying Christmas Décor You’ll Enjoy for Years

Christmas décor is fun to shop for, but when it comes to purchasing them, it’s hard to justify the high prices for objects that will be used once a year. I struggled with this as a teenager and into my early 20’s, especially as Christmas decoration trends became more prominent on social media. Over time, I developed several tip that allow me to figure out if I will use the décor or if it is a trend I’m buying because I saw it too many times on social media. 6 Christmas and Holiday Date Ideas

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, but it can be a busy time of the year. Since it can be hard to make time to spend time with someone you’re in a relationship with, it can be easier to turn something you normally will be doing during the holiday season into a date. Since I feel this way this time of the year, here are six of my favorite Christmas and holiday date ideas. Some of the ideas are more fun and require time planning for a specific event, but they are a lot of fun and are enjoyable during the holiday season. Happy December and the first day of Blogmas! I’m very excited to write new Blogmas posts every day for the next 25 days. I hope nothing goes wrong with the publishing posts and I can finish writing all the posts I wanted to this month!

Since this is my first post for Blogmas 2021, I wanted to talk about the things I’m looking forward this holiday season. The holidays this year is going to be different for me than in previous years due to changes in my life. I don’t want to talk about these life changes in this post, but there are things I can talk about. So, without further ado, here are the things I’m looking forward to this holiday season! Books I Started in 2020 But Didn’t Finish (And Why)

It’s almost the end of January, but I’m slowly realizing how many things I wanted to do in 2020 and didn’t. Even though there are some very important things I wanted to do but didn’t in 2020, one of the less stressful things I didn’t do was finish many books I started to read. Since I’m starting to have some time to reading again, I wanted to talk about some of the books I began to read in 2020 but didn’t finish as well as why I didn’t finish them. Favorite Music Hits from the Year 2000 (Pop/Rock/Ect. Music Only)

It’s the last few days of 2020 and I’m lamenting about all the posts I wanted to write this year. One of the post topics I wanted to write about is reminiscing about the year 2000. I didn’t end up writing any of the posts because I felt the events of this year, especially the pandemic, made reminiscing about my good old days was in poor taste. So, I held back.

Now it’s the last week of 2020 and I feel like I missed my golden opportunity to talk about the year 2000. Despite this, I know I can take all my post ideas and topics and rewrite them into a future post. All I need to do is write those posts. Although I’m planning on saving all my post ideas for later, I still wanted to talk about something nostalgic from the year 2000.

Back in 2000, listening to music was one of my favorite hobbies. Ironically, during the day at home orders, I began to listen to all the music I could find that I used to enjoy. Even though it’s been years since I listen to the music, I wanted to listen to it, mostly because it was something I would listen to when I was stressed or worried, much like I was this year. Although I enjoyed many songs from the year 2000, I wanted to share my favorites from the year 2000 that I still love to this day…

  • (You Drive Me) Crazy- Britney Spears
  • I Try- Macy Gray
  • Breathless- The Corrs
  • I Need to Know- Marc Anthony
  • Shape of My Heart- Backstreet Boys
  • No More (Baby I’ma Do Right)- 3LW
  • Gotta Tell You- Samantha Mamba
  • I Knew I Loved You- Savage Garden
  • With Wide Open Arms- Creed
  • He Love U Not- Dream
  • It’s My Life- Bon Jovi

Ballet Company YouTube Channels That Are Streaming The Nutcracker Performances- 2020

Well, this holiday season hasn’t turned out the way I wanted to. In addition to a lot of things happening in my real life (Including a health scare of one of my relatives (It has nothing to do with the pandemic)), I also missed a few days of Blogmas! To be honest, I suspected I may miss a few posts this year because this year has been so weird, but I still hoped it wouldn’t happen. Despite this, I still plan to make 25 or more posts this month… even if some of those posts are on the same day.

During this odd and stressful holiday time, I discovered several ballet companies are posting videos of their 2019 performances of The Nutcracker. This made me extremely happy to see because the videos are not clips of the performances, but of the whole entire show. Although I don’t have the time to search each ballet company’s YouTube channels (Or try to search and see if they actually have a YouTube channel) I wanted to share some of my favorite ballet YouTube channels that did post videos of their Nutcracker performances in full.

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!

Books I Wanted to Read in 2020 But Didn’t (And Why)

It’s almost the end of 2020 and, because of the problems going on in the world, I didn’t go out much. Since I didn’t go out much, I stayed home and read more books than I normally do. Although I did make quite a few dents in my reading list, I’m still sad I didn’t get around to read more books I wanted to read in 2020.

Although I will not be able to read all the books I planned to read on my list before 2020, I wanted to make a list of all the books I planned to read this year, but didn’t and will be on the top of my reading list for 2021. Continue reading “Books I Wanted to Read in 2020 But Didn’t (And Why)” →
