Last month, Sephora held a sale for all their rewards program members. I’ve wanted to skip the spring sale for a few years, but this year I decided to place an order. There are multiple reasons why I decided to shop this spring’s sale, but the major one is because I needed to throw out my old lip balm because it was old and it was irritating my skin. Sephora sells my favorite lip balm, so I decided to place an order for it and some other beauty products I want/need.
The summer months are some of the hottest months of the year. For many fragrance lovers, this means changing their fragrances to accommodate the warmer temperatures. These temperatures can change how a fragrance smells on a person’s skin, so it is important to take into consideration.
For summer 2024, I realized I really love the way the fragrances I already own work for the summer time. I wanted to share six of my favorite fragrances and fragrance lines that I already own and think would be for the summer. I hope this list will inspire your fragrance choices this summer!
In November, I made my annual birthday order at Sephora. I really wanted to purchase items I wanted to own and knew I would use. I also wanted to buy enough items to make me qualify for my current level for the Sephora rewards program. I didn’t do a good job of purchasing from Sephora throughout the year, so I needed to place a large order to qualify! After receiving my order and using the products in it, I can honestly say I’m happy with my order. I don’t think I will order everything in this haul again (I’ll go into more details either in this post or in a different post) but there are some products I really like a lot. Especially the fragrances!
And now, here is the haul!
In December 2022, Sephora had a pre holiday sale. I wanted to do some more shopping for myself, so I purchased more items I wanted but didn’t need. I am very happy with my purchases and am very excited to start using them!
Some of the items I purchased in this haul are holiday gift sets or limited edition, so I don’t know if they are still available. If they are, and you want one for yourself, I highly recommend them! I don’t always like it when hauls have limited edition products that I can no longer purchase at the time the video or post is seen for the first time. Even though I wanted to write and post them in 2022, I didn’t have the time to do it. Since finding them, I decided to post the photographs and talk about the items I purchased this month.

For many years, I really enjoyed using Christian Dior’s Dior Addict Lip Sugar Scrub. Out of all the beauty products I ever purchased from Dior, the lip scrub is the only product I never want to stop purchasing and using. It has been a favorite of mine for such a long time. After waiting for weeks for Dior to release their beauty gift sets, Dior has finally released them for purchase. I wanted to buy one as a self gift, but after looking at my beauty product collection, I’m confident that I won’t need anything until mid 2022. Despite this, I enjoyed looking at Dior’s gift sets on their official website.

Last year, I talked about ordering something from the official website of couture brand Christian Dior, better known as Dior. Even though I really liked what I purchased, I decided to delay talking about it online (Aside from this post when I talked about my shopping experience with Dior) partly because I didn’t think it was a great time to talk about anything luxury and partly because I didn’t care about posting photographs of it. This month, I felt ready to talk about what I purchased from Dior.
I’m not sure if I talked about this in a post, (I probably did. I just didn’t read through my posts to double check my memory…) but I wanted to buy myself something from Dior in order to commemorate the end of my doctor’s visits to a specialist I saw for a serious illness I suffered from since I was a teenager as well as my successful journey back to good heath. After browsing Dior’s website and seeing many things I wanted, I also knew I didn’t have the money to buy myself anything that I originally wanted to. Some of the items I wanted included a hand back (back then costing over $4,000 USD), a card holder ($300- $500-ish), and a scarf ($300-$500). Since I wanted something more affordable that is not make up, I decided to search the website for something I really want and can afford.
My searching paid off because, much to my surprise I found Dior has fine dinning china with the Toile de Jouy design on them. I love the Toile de Jouy design, but I always wished I could own something with the design that I could display and not use in everyday life. The plates fit my requirements perfectly so I picked one with a design that worked perfectly as a gift to myself for healing, continuing to live a healthy lifestyle, and my efforts paying off. Back in September, the Ulta Beauty I usually frequent released the new Miss Dior eau de parfume. The scent is a new version of Miss Dior for 2021 and I wanted to smell it. When I saw the perfume for sale, and a test bottle available to use, I took the opportunity to smell the scent and see if I like it enough to purchase whenever I have the money to do so.
On September 1, 2021, Dior released a new commercial about the new version of the iconic Miss Dior fragrance. I used to love the Miss Dior fragrance, but after Dior changed from the 2006 version into the next version of the fragrance, I didn’t like it so much.
After the 2006 version, Dior began to turn Miss Dior towards a more woody and heavier scent. I know of many people who love the newer versions of Miss Dior, but I personally loved the lighter scent of the 2006 version. Because of this, I tried to search for a new fragrance that was light and floral to replace Miss Dior in my fragrance collection.
The first time I heard there would be a new version of Miss Dior in the commercial released on YouTube.
After seeing it, I felt indifferent about the new fragrance. I didn’t like the other versions of the fragrance, so I figured I wouldn’t like this version. When I did some research on the new fragrance’s notes, I became more curious about the scent.
The description for the 2021 Miss Dior Eau de Parfum on Dior’s website is as follows…
Miss Dior Eau de Parfum reinvents itself with a new scent.
In 1947, Miss Dior was born out of a wild impetus where the pressing desire to re-enchant women’s lives and open up their eyes to the sparkling colors of love again was felt. Following a bleak period, this scent was synonymous with renewed happiness, poetry, and harmony for Christian Dior at that time. Miss Dior intrigues, excites and invites us to marvel at love and all the beauty in the world.
Echoing its inspiring character, the new Miss Dior fragrance is like an olfactory “millefiori”. Centifolia Rose, with its honeyed and peppery notes, reigns over a delectably creamy velvet heart. It is embroidered with fresh Lily-of-the-Valley notes, an apricot-tinged Peony accord, and powdery Iris notes. Miss Dior is thus built around an elegant, striking bouquet––like a “millefiori” that seems to carry countless flowers in endless colors. At the base, slight notes of tender wood envelop the composition.
The new Miss Dior Eau de Parfum now boasts a vibrant, pointillist couture, poignard fabric bow, with a truly unique assortment of florals. As such, a few centimeters of pure luxury is tied around the bottle’s neck. Beneath the bottle, the emblematic Miss Dior houndstooth motif is engraved in the glass.
The scent, which has it’s signature rose in it, also has floral notes of Lilly of the Valley, Peony, and Iris. I love how floral heavy it is, but I still am worried about about the base notes, which is wood. Wood is often times paired with some type of musk, so I’m worried the scent will aggravate my allergies to the point I won’t like it. Still, this fragrance is adverstised as having “floral and fresh notes”, so it peaks my interest enough to find it and test it in store. I hope it will smell good and won’t aggravate my allergies!
