Christian Dior’s Dior Addict Lip Sugar Scrub Review

For many years, I really enjoyed using Christian Dior’s Dior Addict Lip Sugar Scrub. Out of all the beauty products I ever purchased from Dior, the lip scrub is the only product I never want to stop purchasing and using. It has been a favorite of mine for such a long time. Despite being a favorite product, I never wrote a review about it here on this blog! After loving the product for such a long time, I decided to finally sit down and write a review about one of my favorite beauty products of all time.

This is what the box the sugar scrub comes in looks like…

This is what the tube looks like outside the box…

And finally, the tube and the actual product…

Like I already mentioned, I really love Dior’s Sugar Scrub. It exfoliates the lips gently, yet aggressively enough to take off loose skin. It doesn’t take off as much skin as other lip scrubs I tried do, and leaves my lips soft. It has a balm in the product that covers the lips after the scrubbing is done. It also hydrates my lips very well. In addition to this, the scrub has a wonderful spearmint scent that is present, but not overpowering.

Even though I love this scrub very much, over time I discovered people online have issues with it. Even though I don’t find these issues a problem for me, I can see how it can be a problem for others. First, there is a balm with the scrub. What this is for is to create an all-in-one lip care and lip gloss/lipstick/balm. How to use the scrub is to apply it to the lips and wear it alone without needed to apply anything additional to the lips that may cause irritation after the scrubbing is done.

For me, I love this all-in-one system because it is easy to use and takes the guess work out of lip care for a while. For others, they do not like it. Many people scrub their lips before applying lipstick to keep their lips soft and ready for lipstick application. The balm part of the scrub causes the lipstick to not adhere to the lips correctly. In order to prevent this, they have to wipe off the balm after scrubbing the lips. This is why many people do not like the scrub.

Another reason I know people do not like the scrub is due to the scent. I love the spearmint scent in the scrub, (I love spearmint more than peppermint) but not everyone likes spearmint. For non spearmint lovers, this could be a huge drawback for the product.

Overall, I love the lip scrub and highly recommend it. It does not plump the lips, but is a great product for anyone looking for a high quality lip scrub. There are drawbacks to the product, including the price point, but if you are curious about it, and are looking for an all-in-one non-medicated lip treatment, I say give it a try.

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
