Christmas 2025 and My Ups and Downs With This Holiday Season

It’s December 1st, which means it’s time for Blogmas to begin on this blog. Sadly, this year I haven’t really been feeling excited about the holiday season.

This has been going on for several years, but this year has been the worst. Along with problems in the world (Economy, job security, ect.) I feel really irritated by the current holiday trends, the way people act around the holidays, and how hard it has become for me to celebrate the holidays in my old favorite ways. To be honest, I’ve been fluctuating between feeling so-so about everything to feeling complete rage about everything.

Yet, now that December has finally arrived, I feel… well… ok.

The Search for Lego Sets for My Birthday This Year

November is my birthday month. In previous years, I have celebrated by buying myself things that mean a lot to me, but I didn’t want my loved ones to buy for me. These gifts include handbags, expensive ornaments, and Dior plates. (If you want to know what I’m talking about, I wrote a post about one of the plates I purchased here) This year, I decided to do something slightly different. Clueless x Makeup Revolution Lipgloss Review

In June, I discovered my closet Walmart had the Clueless x Makeup Revolution collection in the beauty department. The collection was created to celebrate the movie’s 30th anniversary. (I can’t believe it’s been that long since it came out!) I was really excited about it, but I also didn’t need makeup at that time. After browsing the collection for a few weeks, before and after a restock of the collection, I finally decided to buy one thing from it: A tube of lip gloss.

The lip gloss I picked is in the color Dionne, but I also found the color called Pink Halo. After using it for a few weeks, I decided to write a review post on the gloss.

Thoughts on Cracker Barrel’s Rebranding and Remodeling: What I Do and Don’t Like About It

For several weeks I’ve been going back and forth about certain post topics. For the most part, they don’t really matter in the big scheme of things. They also may be a little bit too (Or extremely) controversial for my blog. I prefer to keep my blog as political free as possible. Among the many reasons for this is because I use my blogs as a personal way of escapism from politics. If I’m tired of hearing about something online with political ties, I’m not going to talk about it here.

One of the post ideas I had was about Cracker Barrel’s rebranding. As many have probably heard by now, it had a major rebrand with specific stores remodeled to have more modernized interior, a different color scheme, and, most recently and controversially, a new logo. I debated if I should share my thoughts about it in a post due to the popularity and controversy relating to it. Especially since I haven’t set foot in a Cracker Barrel store in quite a while.

Now that Cracker Barrel has announced it will return to it’s old logo, I decided to risk writing a post about the rebranding and what I think about it.

Back to School Supply Shopping and Why I’m Not Happy With What is Available This Year

School has officially started (Unless you live in my school district. Then It’s been in session for over a month and a half…) and that means stores are starting to phase out back to school stuff for fall. As a childless adult, I can honestly say that, even though I don’t need to shop for children, back to school time is a great time to shop for office supplies. Pens, highlighters, and sticky notes are more plentiful and comes in styles, colors, and qualities that cannot normally be found any other time of the year.

Even though I’m don’t have children, I have friends that do. Whenever back to school stuff is available in stores, I like to look at anything my friends’ children would need as well. I don’t normally buy them anything, but I do enjoy looking at the different styles of folders, notebooks, and pencils targeting children.

This year, I was not really happy with the the things I saw available to purchase this year.

Feeling Creatively Stuck: Some Thoughts About My Art and Fan Art

I don’t know how obvious it is in my posts on this blog, but right now I feel creatively stuck. For over ten years, I’ve posted anything I made online. After all these years, I feel… stuck. As I write this post, I don’t know where my life is heading (Except my health (Including my eczema) is doing much better and my house had work done to it) and I feel very nervous about it. In the meantime, I didn’t feel very creative. I didn’t want to draw, sketch, sew, or anything else. I also found myself comparing myself to people I see online and wondered why I though I was good enough at whatever I did to post online.

Lately, life has been… interesting. Although there isn’t many important moments, it has been a world wind of worry, concern, frustration, anxiety, and a lot of repair work to my house. There are many things that are holding up well in my house, but there are so many other things that need to be worked on quickly.

The New Reason Why I Decided to Unfollow Certain Content Creators (And Why It Has to Do With Religion)

Have you ever followed someone online, but over the time their posts (or content depending on what you want to call it) change and you start to no longer enjoy following them? In all the years I’ve been blogging and using social media I probably did this to my followers, but as a fan of people I find online, I felt this way many times before.

For many years, I’ve found people I liked, followed, and then ended up unfollowing them after what they post changed in a direction I didn’t agree with. Even though this has happened many times over the years, I began to have a harder time with certain people online I stopped following in the past few years. The reason why I decided to stop following them is because they began to use inspiration that I don’t agree with.

5 Magazines I Still Purchase (And Reread After I Buy Them)

I love books, but I don’t always like to buy them. They can be quite expensive and I don’t normally like the story. Because of this, I sometimes feel like buying books all the time is a waste of money for me. Although this rings true for books, I have a major weakness for magazines. Especially sewing, knitting, and cooking magazines. I believe if books contained the information the magazines I usually read, I would buy them more often and not feel so guilty about them. Yet, they don’t.

While going through my old magazines to see if there are any issues I don’t want to keep anymore, I began to see all the magazines I kept and why I picked them. I narrowed my favorites down to five magazines brands and types of magazines, that I bought the most and keep rereading. Although all my favorite magazines are not for everyone, nor is reading magazines, I think many will find it interesting which ones I still buy and enjoy reading.
