Comparing Walmart and Target’s Exclusive Versions of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes

When I found out the release date of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins, I made a point to know where I could buy the book. Of course, the book is out anywhere new books are sold, but I realized there are exclusive versions of the book, only sold at a certain store. Sometimes stores have an exclusive version of the book, only sold in the store. This happens with movies, with certain extras only available with the DVD or Blue Ray sold at a certain store, and music, with extra songs only available on a CD sold in a certain store. Of course, this happens to books.

After waiting for The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes to be released, I knew of two exclusive versions of the book would be released: One at Walmart and the other at Target. I own both exclusive versions and I wanted to compare both books to find out how similar and dissimilar they are to one another. Favorites from Target’s Designer Dress Collection in June 2020

Today, Target will release their Designer Dress Collection. The collection has designs by designers Lisa Marie Fernadez, LoveShackFancy, and Cushnie. I love looking at Target’s Designer Collections to see if there is anything I would like to buy, but for this collection I tentatively decided not to buy anything. Even though I won’t be purchasing anything from this collection, I still found some dresses I love. Continue reading “Favorites from Target’s Designer Dress Collection in June 2020”

Target’s 14 Days of Beauty Deals Favorites

Well, I’m a few days late to write a post about this, but like with Macy’s, Target is currently having their own beauty sale coinciding with Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty event. The Target sale will last two weeks and has new deals every day. I originally wanted to write a post sharing my favorites, but with the Coronavirus going on, there was so much going on in my life I didn’t have the time nor energy to write a post. Despite this, I wanted to write a post today because not only do I have time to sit down a write one today, but because one of my favorites is on sale.

Target Valentines Day Beauty and Dollar Stop Haul

Last month, I went to Target to buy a few things. I knew that Target had Valentine’s Day things for sale, so I planned on purchasing some seasonal themed beauty and accessories from the Dollar Stop as well as in other parts of the store. Ornament Feature: Rodarte’s Target x Neiman Marcus Glass Ornament

Earlier this year, while cleaning out my things from my parent’s house, I discovered a box filled with old ornaments I purchased years ago. I packed them away because I intended to move out of the house and take them with me, but eight years later they still sat in my parent’s house, waiting for me to pick them up and take them to my new home. Seeing them took me down memory lane, so I decided to pick a few ornaments from the box and talk about them and the special memories I have of them.

The first ornament I wanted to talk about is my Rodarte’s Target x Neiman Marcus glass ball ornament. Continue reading “Ornament Feature: Rodarte’s Target x Neiman Marcus Glass Ornament”

Target: 20 Years of Design for All: How Target Revolutionized Accessible Design Book Review

On September 14, 2019, Target released their 20th anniversary collection of their design partnership. Before the collection hit stores, they released a book called Target: 20 Years of Design for All: How Target Revolutionized Accessible Design. Out of everything Target released to celebrate their 20th anniversary of their design partnerships, this book was by far the one I wanted the most. There are two main reasons why I wanted the book: I already owned everything I wanted from the design partnerships from their original release and, based off previous experience, it’s nearly impossible to obtain everything I wanted without fighting everyone in store or online. Since the book was available in mass quantities, it was easy for me to pick it up without struggling to beat others to buy it.

Now that I owned the book for a few weeks, and it’s been a week since the full collection was released, I wanted to write a review about it. (By the way, this post is not sponsored. And yes, I really did buy this book with my own money because I’m really excited to own it.) Favorites from Target’s 20 Years of Design for All- Michael Graves

Today is the last favorite post of Target’s 20 Years of Design for All! I think I can keep going, but I think everyone will get tired of me waxing on and on about how excited I am about this collection. So, I’m going to end this post series by sharing my favorite from the design collaboration that started it all: Michel Graves. Favorites from Target’s 20 Years of Design for All- Missoni

I’m almost done sharing my favorites from Target’s 20 Years of Design for All, and I have yet to share my favorites from my favorite design collaboration that Target brought back: Missoni.

Missoni is not my style at all, but when I saw the collaboration items in store, I fell immediately in love with them. Although I own many items from the original collaboration, I know there are a few that missed or want to own another one of because of wear and tear. Because of this, I can say there are many items from the Missoni collection that are my favorites. Continue reading “Favorites from Target’s 20 Years of Design for All- Missoni”

Favorites from Target’s 20 Years of Design for All- Lilly Pulitzer

Lilly Pulitzer’s original collection for Target was hard to come by, and even harder for me to find clothing that fit me! A common problem with the collaboration clothing designs are they are great for people who are petite, but not for someone who has an average or above average height. Because of this, my favorite clothing pieces in Lilly Pulitzer’s collaboration collection could not fit me. With Target’s re-release of pieces from Lilly Pulitzer’s collection, they added a plus size version of all the adult clothes. This makes me happy because, even though I’m not plus size, there will be enough fabric to make the clothes fit me better. So, for my favorites from Lilly Pulitzer’s collaboration collection with Target, I included clothes because, for the first time, I can actually wear the clothes! Favorites from Target’s 20 Years of Design for All- Jason Wu

When I saw the Jason Wu collection for Target the first time, I fell in love with it. Each of the designs are so beautiful and look so classy. This is why I’m so happy to see pieces from Jason Wu’s collection are returning to Target for their 20 Years of Design for All collection! Not all the pieces from the original line are going to return to Target, but some of my favorites are. Because of this, here are some of my favorite pieces from Jason Wu’s collection.
