It’s almost February and I have no idea where the time gone. Actually, I do, but it still feels weird that February is almost here. During the month of January, I had time to sit down and read books. This is unusual for me because January is one of the busiest times of the year for me work wise. For January 2023, I took time I would normally watch TV and spent it reading books. I didn’t like what was usually on TV anymore, so reading was a great way to spend time enjoying a story a TV will never be able to provide for me.
This month, I read many books. Out of those books, I finished reading three. I considered talking about all the books I read in this post, but, for the sake of not making the post too long, I decided to talk about the three books I finished reading. As I look towards 2023, I realized there a things I want to do and see again. Some of these things include trips to places I began to miss visiting during the pandemic. Others are things I want to do because I enjoyed them that much.
One of the things is rereading certain books. I really enjoyed reading certain books so much I want to read them all over again. In 2023, I picked out a few titles that I want to read again. Unfortunately, my list is long, so I narrowed it down to six books to talk about in a post.

It’s almost the end of 2022. Amount the many things that happen this time of the year, one of the most annoying is my self loathing for not getting enough done by the end of the year. It is one of my worst traits and is something I always strive to improve not matter what time of they year it is. It seems to be especially worst near year’s end, probably because of amount of publicly acknowledgment of people’s regrets for the year.
Even though I can go on and on in a blog post about all the things I didn’t do throughout the year, I like to be optimistic. Especially online. So, instead I will be talking about one of the less important things I didn’t do this year: Read all books I wanted to read!
There are various reasons why I didn’t get around to reading these books, but it mostly has to do with lack of time. Even though I’m sure there will be many books in 2023 I would like to read, these books are on the top of my to-read list.

A few months ago, while browsing for DVDs of Hallmark Christmas movies on Amazon, I got sidetracked and began to find many new Christmas themed books. Even though I wanted a DVD more than a book, I decided to preorder one of the new Christmas books instead. The book I decided to preorder is A Quilt for Christmas: A Christmas Novella by Melody Carlson.

It is already October and, even though I had a lot of plans for the month, nothing worked out as I hoped. This resulted in me, staying home more than I planned. While at home, I began to work on many things I postponed and needed to get done. In addition to this, I also began reading. A lot.
I love reading, but I haven’t had the time to actually sit down with a book and read. Since I was at home so often, reading began a favorite pastime for me. This is why, during the month of September, I read more books in one month than I have in quite some time.
Since I read so much, I decided to talks about some of the books I read through the month. A handful are ones I finished reading in September while others are ones I started. Back in the late 2000’s, a friend of mine let me borrow her copy of Cecily von Zigersar’s book, Gossip Girl. I read it, and over the years forgot most of it, but I remember that I read it before the new Gossip Girl TV series premiered. In 2020, I heard the TV series would get a reboot. I wanted to reread the original books from the series, but I couldn’t because I borrowed them from my friend and, thanks to the pandemic, I didn’t want to bother her in order to borrow her books. Instead, I decided to purchase my own copy of the first book in the series, Gossip Girl, and, if I liked it enough, I would buy the other books in the series.
Gossip Girl is the first book in the Gossip Girl series by Cecily von Zigersar. The book follows a group of affluent teenagers in New York City as they navigate life after one of the most popular girls, Serena van der Wooden, returns to New York City and school after a year away at boarding school. Serena’s arrival back at the school caused a lot of gossip around why she left, what she did while she was gone, and why she left the boarding school. Although Serena’s return was not greeted with warmth or joy, Serena discovered that while she was gone, her friends moved on and began lives without her. Lately, I’ve had the time to read a lot. I enjoy reading, but there were times in my life I absolutely hated reading. Today, I would call myself a bookworm, but I had to grow into loving to read. For today’s post, I want to talk about how I became a bookworm and why I fell in love with reading.

Around November of last year, I began to realize I really needed to have a hobby for myself. I do have hobbies, and two blogs dedicated to talking about them as well as everything I want to talk about. Yet, I still needed to do something else. I wanted to have a hobby I used to have when I was younger: Reading.
I used to read a lot as a kid, but I hated it back then because I didn’t like the books available for me to read. So, I didn’t actually become a bookworm until my mid teens. Then I had the freedom to read any book that I wanted to and was available to me. Over the years, I assembled a large book collection. I had plans to read them all, but I was always too busy with work or felt to exhausted to read for enjoyment.
In November, I started to buy myself books I wanted since the summertime. I also found new books I wanted to read and books in my book collection to read. With this many books, I could start reading whenever I wanted to. Unfortunately, I had problems getting back into the habit of reading. July has already passed, but I still wanted to talk about the books I read. I didn’t have the time to read a lot of books, but I was able to read three. I enjoyed reading, or rereading in the case of one book, them. Unfortunately, I didn’t finish them all, but I still wanted to write a post about all the books I read last month.
