Movie Review: A Princess for Christmas (2011)

Every holiday season, I enjoy watching Hallmark Christmas movies. For anyone who read this blog for a while, this probably comes as no surprise. Even though I enjoy the new movies that are released every year, there are a handful of movies that I enjoy watching more than all the new and old movies Hallmark makes. One of these movies is A Princess for Christmas.

Bath and Body Works Strawberry Snowflake Shower Gel

This year, Bath and Body Works released multiple new scents with berry scent notes in them. I love berry scents, but my favorite scent note is strawberries. Even though I love strawberry scent notes, I don’t expect them in a Christmas themed scent. When I discovered Bath and Body Works released a Christmas scent called Strawberry Snowflakes, I wanted to try it. Continue reading “Bath and Body Works Strawberry Snowflake Shower Gel”

Favorite Ambiance YouTube Channels for Christmas

For the past few years, I began to enjoy watching ambiance videos. Well, I actually don’t watch them. I usually keep them playing the background while I do my work. Especially when I’m under a lot of stress. Having ambiance videos playing makes me calm down and feel better.

Since it is the holiday season, I’m usually listening to Christmas themed videos. After listening to quite a few videos, I decided to write a post about my favorite ambiance YouTube channels with Christmas themed videos. I hope you enjoy the channels I list and their videos! Bath and Body Works Iced Sugar Plum Shower Gel Review

During the shopping trip to Bath and Body Works I featured in this post, I looked for a scent the store I shopped at didn’t have. Frustrated, and wondering what other product I can buy to qualify for the sale. During my search, I walked passed a section of body sprays and shower gels for a new Bath and Body Works Christmas scent, Iced Sugar Plum. I smelled a bottle of the shower gel and immediately loved it. I happily put it in my shopping bag and returned to searching for any more products I wanted to purchase that day. Bath and Body Works Frosted Coconut Snowball Fragrance Mist Review

Bath and Body Work’s 2022 holiday collection has, so far, been one of my all time favorites. There are so many scents that I tried and enjoyed! One of those scents is Frosted Coconut Snowball.

The scent’s name caught my eye while browsing at Bath and Body Works. I really loved the smell of it when I was in store. Even though I didn’t give it much thought, I still decided to purchase a fine fragrance mist bottle of the scent. Bath and Body Works Dream Bright Shower Gel Review

This year, Bath and Body Works released new Christmas scents that caught my eye. The most promoted and prominent scent they advertised this year is Dream Bright. It comes in a shower gel, fine fragrance mist, and a perfume. I wanted to buy one of the products in the scent this year. I originally wanted to buy a bottle of perfume, but I decided to be safe and buy a bottle of shower gel instead. Continue reading “Bath and Body Works Dream Bright Shower Gel Review”

Morphe The More The Merrier Brush Set Review

Morphe’s holiday collection is a must shop for me and this year I found two items I wanted: The 35XS No Silent Nights eye shadow pallet and The More the Merrier eye brush set. When I went to look for both at my closest Ulta Beauty, the eye shadow pallet was sold out. Fortunately, the eye brush set was not. So, I purchased it as a self gift.

I wanted write a review post about the brush set, but I wanted to wait to publish the post until December for Blogmas. Well, it’s December and finally time for my review post!

Searching, and Finding, a Replacement of One of the First Self-Purchased Christmas Tree Ornaments

When I was about 18 to 19 years old, I decided to buy myself really nice, high end ornaments. I didn’t think I would use them right away, but I assumed that it would be one of my only chances to buy them and not feel guilty about it. Also, the Great Recession was starting to take hold, so the quality, availability, and price point of these ornaments would change sooner rather than later. This is why buying these ornaments was so important to me.

One of the first ornaments I purchased is a Lenox ornament. Its official name is Star of Bethlehem and was released in 2007. I purchased it because the shape is very attractive. I also knew it had 24K gold on it, so it fit into the category of ornaments I wanted to purchase.

Over the years, it became one of my favorite ornaments. It fit into any style I used to decorate and I loved looking at it. Even though I loved it, it was broken by a relative I took care of for many years.

This year marks six years since the relative passed away. Since I don’t need to worry about them breaking things, I decided to search for a replacement. Yet, it wasn’t easy. Continue reading “Searching, and Finding, a Replacement of One of the First Self-Purchased Christmas Tree Ornaments”

Thoughts On A Charlie Brown Christmas Not On TV This Year

Every Christmas, I always look forward to watching Christmas movies and TV specials. This year, one of my favorite Christmas specials will not be airing. The special, A Charlie Brown Christmas, as well it’s Halloween and Thanksgiving specials, did not/will not be airing on TV.

The reason is because Apple holds all copyrights to air the Peanuts specials. For the past two years, Apple aired the specials on PBS. This year, they will not be allowing the specials to be aired on TV at all. Instead, they can be found exclusively on Apple’s streaming service, Apple TV.

To be honest, I’m not happy about this. I heard about this prior to the pandemic in 2020, but it seemed like nobody cared like I hoped they would. Even though I didn’t say much if anything online, I felt really upset about it. I was happy when Apple decided to allow the specials to air on PBS. Now that they are no longer on the air, I’m now back to feeling upset.

To me, it feels like a loss of an important American Christmas tradition. I always looked forward to the special. When I was a child, I would get upset if I missed the show or someone interrupted me watching it. As I became an older child, I didn’t feel so upset about it, but I still looked forward to it. As an adult, I began to care for the special more than before. It was a way to subtlety resist and rebel against the urge to grow up too much too fast.

Now that the show is no longer airing on TV, I am upset. Yet, as the Christmas season moves forward, I feel more at peace about it. I’m still unhappy about it, but I am a peace because I own the DVD versions of the specials. I can watch them anytime I want, not matter what the season. If I miss the show too much, I can just watch the DVD. It’s not the same, but it is better than nothing.

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!

TV Show Review: Reindeer in Here (2022)

On November 29, 2022, CBS aired Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Even though I owned the show on DVD, I watched this year’s broadcast due to an overwhelming need for Christmas nostalgic. After the show ended, a new, one hour show premiered on CBS. The show, called Reindeer in Here, was a new show for 2022. Since it was new, I decided to watch it. After watching it, I decided to write a review about it for Blogmas. Continue reading “TV Show Review: Reindeer in Here (2022)”
