5 Reasons I Love (and 5 Reasons Why I Hate) This Month in Arizona- January

It’s January and it is the beginning of a new year. Over the years, I have both loved and hated this month. Some of those reasons changed as I got older, but I have found the reasons why I love January is sometimes is directly connected with the fact I live in Arizona. Since Arizona is such a popular state to move to, I decided to write a post about five reasons why I both love and hate the month in Arizona. I also plan on continuing this post for the other months of the year! Wait for them to come out when a new month starts.

Here are the five reasons why I love this month in Arizona-

  1. Cooler temperatures that don’t always include snow! (This reason varies depending on where in the state of Arizona, but where I live the temperatures are cool and snow is very rare.)
  2. There are plenty of events and things to do. (Since the summer months are so warm, all the fun events that happen in the state happen in the winter.)
  3. You can find amazing deals on winter clothing. (Since it doesn’t get as cold as other places in the United States, winter clothing that goes on sale is sometimes discounted better here. This will depends on the store and how cold December and January have been.)
  4. Hiking trails are open all day long without restrictions. (They are restricted in the summertime due to the hot temperatures.)
  5. No rattlesnakes! (They’re still in hibernation.)

And now, here are five reasons why I hate this month in Arizona-

  1. It’s cold outside. (It doesn’t matter what the temperature it is. Winter is winter and that means cold temperatures!)
  2. The roads are busy.
  3. There are a lot of Winter Visitors around. (Some of the visitors are really nice and friendly. Some… not so much.)
  4. There are people who will make comments about how warmly you’re dressed. Especially if those people are from colder climates and just moved to the state.
  5. Everywhere and everything is busy. No matter if it is an event, a hiking trail or a grocery store. Everywhere is busy.

That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
