5 Reasons I Love (and 5 Reasons Why I Hate) This Month in Arizona- November
November in Arizona is a special month. It considered by many to be the start of Arizona’s tourism season. (Some say tourism season is October to April while others say November to April) People travel to the state to see the state in it’s beauty without the oppressive heat.
During this time, there are so many things to do and see that it may be hard to imagine anything is bad about the state. As a lifelong resident of Arizona, I can honestly say that there are some Novembers that are good while others are not. Yet, while enjoying the state during it’s best weather months can make it look convincingly perfect when it really is not.
Inspired by my sometimes love/hate relationship with the state I’ve called home my whole life, I decided to write a list of five reasons why I like Arizona during November and five reasons why I don’t.
In addition to this post, I have wrote posts about why I love and hate Arizona during all the months of the year. You can read them here…
Here are the five reasons why I love Arizona in November…
- Mild temperatures
- Sometimes, parts of the state experience rain on Thanksgiving. For me, it makes it feel more like a proper fall holiday!
- The Phoenix Veterans Day Parade is one of the largest in the country… and it is held in Phoenix, Arizona!
- The animals that go into hibernation during the winter months are now officially in hibernation.
- It is cool enough to go hiking and enjoy the outdoors!
And here are five reasons why I hate Arizona in November…
- Temperatures can fluctuate from very warm to very cold in a matter of days.
- Temperatures can still be 100 degrees.
- Since Winter Visitors have returned, stores are packed with shoppers. Especially the ones frequented by the seasonal visitors.
- Outdoor activities are popular in Arizona, which causes a lot of traffic to popular hiking and biking trails.
- Since Arizona’s low lands are a desert with warmer temperatures, the leaves don’t change colors. Traveling to the mountains is the only way to see them… and even then the trees that change colors are not as widespread as in other states.
That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
