5 Reasons I Love (and 5 Reasons Why Hate) This Month in Arizona- June

It’s June in Arizona, which means it’s summertime! Also, it means the hottest days of the year are here. Since June is a really hot month, it is normal to dwell on the bad parts of this month in Arizona. Instead of dwelling on all the bad, I try to focus on the good parts.

For this post, I want to list the five reasons why I love June in Arizona. I also want to list five reasons why I hate June in Arizona.

Here are the other posts in the series:

Here are the 5 reasons I love June in Arizona…

  1. School is out on summer break!
  2. Even though this is peak season for Arizona summer heat, there are plenty of places to travel to escape the heat. Especially via road trips!
  3. Swimming in the summer is especially fun and relaxing!
  4. There usually aren’t any storms, including thunder storms, to worry about. Just the heat.
  5. There are many indoor shopping malls that open early in the morning for walking. Even in the heat of the afternoon, there are shopping malls with air conditioner that can be used as a place to go for a walk in.

And here are the 5 reasons I hate June in Arizona….

  1. The summer heat.
  2. The hottest days of the year are in June. Specifically near the end of June, leading up to the 4th of July. This means it is hard to have a 4th of July gathering.
  3. It’s summer break time, which means children are out of school and are everywhere. (I don’t always see this as a problem, but it is for others)
  4. The coolest parts of the days are in the morning before 8 AM. Running errands during this time of the day are not easy because many stores and businesses are not open until 9 AM.
  5. Even though there are many places to travel in Arizona to escape the summer heat, they are usually packed on days off. Especially if they are places where water is!
