Victoria’s Secret Warm & Cozy Fragrance Review

Every August, I start to think about my favorite fall fragrances. A few years ago, I decided to try some of my old favorite fragrances I used to like for fall. One of my oldest favorite fragrances is Warm & Cozy body mist. It is by Victoria’s
Secret Pink. I used to like to wear it in college.

During a recent clear out of my things, I discovered the mini bottle of Warm & Cozy. Since I still have it, I decided to write and publish a fragrance review of it.

Thoughts on Louis Vuitton Inspired Trunks in Victoria’s Secret Pink Stores

Whenever I go shopping and can’t find something I want or need, I sometimes let my mind wander and begin to look at other things. Usually I like to look at things for sale at the store, but I sometimes look at the store’s décor as well as the shelving units and displays, also called fixtures. After looking at the store’s fixtures, I realized certain stores’ fixtures are more interesting to look at and stylish than others. One of the stores I shop at with stylish and interesting fixtures is Victoria’s Secret.

Victoria’s Secret is known for it’s store décor and fixtures. In fact, some of the décor and fixtures from stores that closed are for sale on Ebay and other second-hand stores! They are pretty expensive to purchase, and are way out of my price range, but they are interesting to look at.

At my closet Victoria’s Secret, I wanted to look at the store’s fixtures and décor to see how different it is from the ones I saw online for sale and in photographs in store. While looking around, I found two fixtures in the Pink section of the store that are inspired by Louis Vuitton’s famous steamer trunks.

When I had the chance to take photographs of the trunks, I took photographs of one of the two trunks I found…

There were other trunks that looked similar to it, but I couldn’t talk photographs of them. (There were people in that section of the store. So, I didn’t want to bother them.)

In other stores I visited, I saw other Louis Vuitton inspired trunks in the Pink side of the Victoria’s Secret stores. Some of the trunks looked very similar to than the ones I photographed. Others are in different colors, designs, and themes. Some even have stickers on them the same way steamer trunks would have on them after they traveled around the world.

Despite the differences between the way the trunks look, they all serve the same function: Storage and display. As shown in the photographs, the tops of the trunks serve as a place to display merchandise. The top of the trunks open and merchandise can be stored inside them as well.

Even though I like looking at the trunks every time I go into the store, or look for them whenever I go to a Victoria’s Secret store I never shopped at before, I like the ones I took photographs of the most. They remind me of the 2000’s and the love of luxury fashion, such as Louis Vuitton. The early to mid-2000’s was a boom time and anything inspired by a luxury brand was in fashion. The store they are used in opened in the 2000’s, so it fits with the time period when they were popular.

Not everyone loves this look for a variety of reasons, most commonly due to the fact it’s from an era that was about indulgence and materialism, but I like these particular trunks because they are more understated than others I’ve seen in other stores. They don’t have the travel stickers nor do they have anything that shouts to me when they were created and put into use in the store. (Aside from the pink stripes and stickers of Pink’s dog mascot on the sides of the trunks) They are like the Louis Vuitton steamer trunks they are inspired by: Classic, timeless, and stylish. Though they are not exactly the same as the Louis Vuitton trunks, they carry so many similarities that it makes me love them. I also love the way Louis Vuitton steamer trunks look, so it’s no surprise I like these trunks so much.

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!

Victoria’s Secret Pink Golden Pear Scented Mist Review

While browsing the discounted Pink body sprays, or scented mists, during Victoria’s Secret Winter 2021 Semi-Annual Sale, I found a bottle of a scent I really wanted to try in store. The scent, Golden Pear, peaked my interest because it included honey as a scent note.

When I smelled it in person, I really loved the scent. Since it was on sale, and would probably be no longer available after the sale, I purchased it.

Victoria’s Secret Pink Rosewater Sparkle Scented Mist Review

During Victoria’s Secret Winter 2021 Semi-Annual sale, I found two Pink body sprays, or scented mists, that I really wanted to smell, but never had the chance to. These body sprays were part of the sale, so I made an effort to see if I like these fragrances. One of these sprays is Rosewater Sparkle.

I was hesitant about this fragrance because I didn’t know how rosewater would smell combined with cranberries. When I tried it in store, I fell in love with the scent. Since it was on sale, I bought it before it was no longer available.

Victoria’s Secret Pink Spirit Scented Mist Review

During Victoria’s Secret Semi-Annual sales, there are many seasonal products that are for sale. Usually, these products were released within the six or so months since the last semi-annual sale and need to be sold off in order to make room for new seasonal products. During the Winter 2021 sale, I found a few Pink body mists for sale that I either never tried before or liked very much, but don’t have in my fragrance collection. One of the mists I liked but never purchased is Pink Spirit.

I regretted not purchasing Pink Spirit when I had the chance, so when I saw it for sale in store, I grabbed a bottle to add to my fragrance collection.

Victoria’s Secret Pink Vanilla Snow Body Mist Review

Every season, Victoria’s Secret releases new fragrances for the new season. These limited-edition fragrances are part of Victoria’s Secret main line of fragrances, but they also release limited edition body mists under their Pink label. I sometimes like these limited-edition mists more than the main line of fragrances that are available year-round. This year, I didn’t find many fragrances in the Pink line that I enjoyed for any season, but I did like one fragrance from their winter collection: Vanilla Snow.

Since it is a limited-edition fragrance, and it seems to be very popular, I wanted to write a review about it for Blogmas 2021. This way it could possibly still be available for purchase for anyone who is curious about the scent as well.

Saying Goodbye to My Closest Victoria’s Secret Store

I feel very awkward to write a post about a Victoria’s Secret store closing, (It’s a lingerie store after all) but there is a good reason for my desire to write about the closing of the closest Victoria’s Secret store to where I live. The Victoria’s Secret store closed permanently as part of Victoria’s Secret’s 250 store closing that was announced in May. Although I knew this was coming, (Arizona has many Victoria’s Secret stores, so if there would be a store to close, I always assumed it would be that one) I still felt pretty sad to see this particular store close.

This Victoria’s Secret store is one of the original stores that opened in the Casa Grande Promenade mall. The mall opened in 2007 and the original stores included Target, JcPenny’s, Dillard’s, Kohl’s, Old Navy, and many other well known stores from that time period. Over the years, many of the stores I personally used to shop at either closed or changed to accommodate the clientele that shops at the mall. Old Navy isn’t there anymore nor is Target. Dillard’s is now a Dillard’s Clearance center. JcPenny’s and Kohl’s are still alive and well, at least that’s from what I’ve heard and seen. So, seeing yet another store leave the area makes me sad and depressed not necessarily for Victoria’s Secret, but for further proof that the mall (and other malls in the area) simply doesn’t have the clientele to support it.

This could change as the county the Casa Grande Promenade is located in had a huge increase of home sales in recent months due to a variety of reasons. There are people, including myself, that believes Target will return to the mall in it’s original space and other stores are looking at the mall again for shop space in anticipation of future home sales and more people who want to shop at the mall. But, unfortunately, the Victoria’s Secret store couldn’t hold out for that to happen, so it’s closed permanently.

A few weeks ago, I went to the Victoria’s Secret store, which is now closed completely and the windows are blocked off, to do what I do when the other stores in the mall that closed: I stood outside of it, took photographs of it, and basically say goodby to it. As of this post, the signs outside the store are gone and all there is to show there was a Victoria’s Secret store are my photographs. Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show: What I’ll Miss, What I Won’t, and Why It’s Important

Last month, Victoria’s Secret announced they will not be putting on a fashion show this year. At that time business annalists talk about why they decided to do this, but last year I figured it would be ending sooner rather than later. I did think they would hold out until next year to end the fashion show because it would mean the show would be on for over 15 years and end on the year 2020, a nice year number to end the show. Despite this, costs for the fashion show are very high and the relevance factor has gone away so ending it before any sort of anniversary number arrived was proof the company knew it would be, in my eyes, wasting time and money putting on the show. Since this would be the first year in over 15 years the fashion show will not be on the air, I wanted to talk about what I’ll miss from the fashion show, what I won’t miss, and why it’s important to talk about the end of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Favorites from Victoria’s Secret Semi-Annual Sale- Summer 2019

In June 2019, I went to Victoria’s Secret semi-annual sale. I shopped the sale multiple times for myself and for gifts for family and friends. Through out the sale, I found some really great items for sale in the sale. Although the sale is over, I wanted to share my favorite items in this sale. All the items in this post are from the beauty and fragrance department and are not clothes or wearable items. Continue reading “Favorites from Victoria’s Secret Semi-Annual Sale- Summer 2019”
