Swarovski 2024 Amazon Exclusive Annual Edition Little Snowflake Ornament

This year, I decided to shop for more ornaments from brands I don’t normally shop for more than one ornament per year from. One of these brands is Swarovski.

I was able to purchase all my ornaments either on sale or for a really good price. One of the ornaments I was able to purchase is an Amazon.com exclusive little snowflake ornament.

Walmart’s The Grinch Holiday 2024 Decor

For the past few years, the Walmart I normally shop at has sold Christmas decor inspired by three different popular movies and TV shows. They are The Grinch from Doctor Susses’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Stitch from Lilo and Stitch, and Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Sometimes other popular movies and TV show inspired holiday decor is sold, but those are the three core movies and TV shows found at my Walmart.

The decor is different than what is normally sold in the Christmas section, so I really enjoy browsing it. This year, it seemed there were equal amounts of decor for each of the movies. I know many people enjoy read about my favorite Christmas decorations for the year, so I decided to do this for each of the movies. I decided to start with The Grinch because he is a Christmas movie while Stitch and The Nightmare Before Christmas are characters and movies that will work other times of the year.

Christmas 2024 Isn’t Turning Out As Planned…

To be honest, not every Christmas turns out just as planned. This year, it just feels different. I can’t explain why, but it does. And when I say different, I mean it in a sad and depressing way.

It started when I found out my relative will have surgery. I was expecting it and the fact it is an outpatient surgery bothers me, but that’s because it is surgery. It is needed and is important to prevent major problems in the future. I was fine taking care of them… until I found out the surgery is scheduled the week before Christmas. That, and the fact that this will be the second time this year my relative is having surgery in three months bothers me.

Then the driving around the area where I live is just weird. Arizona isn’t know for it’s safe driving anymore (It hasn’t been since the early to mid 2000’s) but this type of driving? It’s weird. Really weird. I’m too scared to drive anywhere anymore. This means I stay home and not go anywhere fun for the holiday season. No driving to my favorite mall and walk around to look at the decorations and shop. No trips to see a light parade. No visits to my friends’ homes to see how they are doing. (They are like me and decided not to drive as much as they normally do this year)

Add to this problems with my Christmas decorations (Specifically a nativity scene I purchased a few years ago and I love, but is having very weird condition issues) and a virus that has lasted over a week and… well… Christmas 2024 hasn’t been turning out way I thought it would.

This year, I feel depressed about how everything is turning out. It is something I’ve been watching for the past few years and has reawakened some of my old dislikes towards the area where I live. There is still time until Christmas and New Year’s Eve for things to turn around. Yet, as I write this post, I don’t know if it will change. This Christmas season is probably the season when I’ll need to celebrate close to home and approach the reason for the season in a different way.

That’s all for now. Thank you for reading.

Book Review: Santa Stops at Disneyland- A Little Golden Book

Ever since I was a girl, I enjoyed reading Christmas books. Even if it wasn’t Christmas time, I still would like to read them! As an adult, I still enjoy reading Christmas themed children’s books. Even though my collection is not very large, I still enjoy reading them!

For this year’s Blogmas, I decided to write some more reviews on some of my Christmas children’s books. I decided to start with one of my newest additions to my book collection: Santa Stops at Disneyland!

Walmart 2024 Christmas Decor

This year, Walmart had some Christmas decor I really like. This year, I am more selective of what holiday decor I purchase. This decision was spurred by multiple decisions, one of them is due to inflation. Even though I’m selective of my purchases this year, I needed to replace several Christmas decorations in my collection. Since I liked the decorations at Walmart, I decided to purchase a few of the things I show in this post!

Kate Spade New York First Snow 2020 Tree Ornament by Lenox

Kate Spade New York is one of my favorite fashion brands. Although the style of their bags can sometimes be out of my fashion comfort zone, I still enjoy browsing their website and looking at all the designs available for that season. I especially love their home wears and own multiple items from their home collections!

This year, I decided to purchase new ornaments that are not from Hallmark. I wanted to focus on crystal and ceramic ornaments, but they must be within a certain price range. On a whim, I decided to search for Kate Spade New York ornaments. I was surprised to find an ornament I loved but passed over years ago. It was for sale for a really good price, a price well within my price range, so I decided to purchase it.

Tree Hut Candy Cane Body Scrub Review

Tree Hut makes my favorite body scrubs. I really love the way they smell and they work really well.

For the past few years, Tree Hut released a holiday themed body scrub called Candy Cane. This year (2024) Tree Hut didn’t release Candy Cane. Instead, they have a scrub called Peppermint Pearl that smells similar to Candy Cane. Even though Candy Cane is no longer available, I still wanted write a review about it anyway.

2024 Annual Swarovski Ornament Review

If you are new to this blog, then you probably don’t know I’m a Christmas ornament fan. I’m not as big of a fan as others online, but ornaments are important enough to me to start browsing them in July. One of the ornaments I like to shop for is the annual Swarovski ornaments.

This year, I was happy to see Swarovski released their annual edition ornament in June. When I saw it, I decided to purchase it. I wanted to own the 2024 ornament for sentimental reasons, which is why I purchased it so early in the ornament release season.

Last year, I decided to write a review post about the 2023 annual ornament. (You can read that post here) I decided to write one about this year’s ornament as well, but I decided to publish my post much earlier than I would normally do. I wanted to do this in order to show off the ornament and give anyone interested in purchasing it a better idea what it is like from someone who owns it.

Movie Review: Good Morning Christmas! (2020)

Every year, Hallmark releases a plethora of clean romantic Christmas themed movies. Sometimes, they are good. Sometimes they aren’t. Still, I enjoy trying to watch as many as I can. (I’m a sucker for clean romantic movies and books!)

Good Morning Christmas! premiered in 2020. I purchased a DVD version of it as part of a three movie set that I purchased in 2021. Since then, I have watched it multiple times and now feel like it is a good time to write a review about it. After all, I have multiple years to watch it and think about it!

Phimas Crystal Ornament Review

Last year, I decided to branch out of my comfort zone and purchase an ornament from a brand I never purchased from. I found Phimas on Amazon and, as of 2024, they are still selling ornaments on Amazon. The ornament I purchased was advertised as their 2023 official crystal ornament and cost less than $35. Since it was an affordable crystal ornament, especially in comparison to Swarovski’s ornaments, I decided to buy one and see if I like it.
