Ulta Beauty’s Fall 2023 21 Days of Beauty Favorites- Week 1

Well, it’s that time of the year when Ulta Beauty’s 21 Days of Beauty sale happens! This fall, there are many beauty products that caught my eye, but I know for certain I want to purchase only a few. Even though I really like the products available during the sale, I don’t need more products! So, I’m going to hold back purchasing until the products I really want go on sale.

As with previous sales, there are new beauty products as well as old favorites that are included in the 50% off sale. There are also some surprise steals (Beauty products that go on sale, but nobody knows what they are until the day of they go on sale) and products that are on sale exclusively online only. Please check the product that goes on sale to make sure it will be on sale in person and online or online only. Also, the sale prices are for Ulta Beauty and Ulta Beauty at Target unless otherwise stated. If you are worried about the availability of the product at the sale price changes depending on the store, then please check each store’s website for more information.

For week one, there will be products from some of my favorite beauty brands (MAC, Lancome, Yves Saint Laurent, and Loncome) as well as first time steals from other brands. There is only one surprise steal this week, which is an Ulta Beauty app exclusive. The surprise steal will happen on Sunday, August 27th. As with previous 21 Days of BEauty posts, I wanted to talk about my favorite products in the sale. I may leave off certain products that people may like and include ones that are not as popular. Even though this list could be hit or miss, I still hope you enjoy my favorite picks from week one!

Bath and Body Works Firework Pop In Store Photographs

The 4th of July is next week! I am excited because it means a few days off and fireworks! Earlier this month, I decided to get into the 4th of July celebratory sprit by wearing or purchasing some patriotic inspired clothes, decor, and other things. One of those other things was a bottle of Bath and Body Works’s Firecracker Pop shower gel.

I loved Firecracker Pop a lot, but I haven’t owned a bottle of it for years. When I found out Firecracker Pop returned to Bath and Body Works, I decided to buy a bottle of the shower gel to use this summer. Earlier this month, I went to Bath and Body Works to see their semi annual sale as well as buy a bottle of Firecracker Pop. I was able to take photographs of the section of the store dedicated to the Firecracker Pop products as well as a few other 4th of July inspired scents.

Bath and Body Works Summer Scents In Store Photographs- June 2023

I took photograph of the products on sale, so I decided to take some photographs of the summer products as well. Bath and Body Works Semi Annual Sale In Store Photographs- June 2023

Earlier this month, Bath and Body Works began their Semi Annual Sale. This year, I had the chance to shop the sale in store. I was very excited to shop a sale in store because I had to miss out on shopping in store for multiple sales in a row. While shopping the sale, I decided to take some photographs of the store I shopped at with the intention of writing a post about the fragrances that were for sale as well as thoughts on those fragrances. I also went shopping early to make sure there wouldn’t be a lot of people in the store. This is why the store looks so empty in my photographs!

Barbie The Movie Dreamhouse In Walmart

In case you haven’t heard, there is a new live action Barbie movie that will be released in theaters on July 26. Even though it is June, I began to see tie in merchandise for the movie in stores and online. I plan on purchasing a Barbie doll from the movie mostly because I loved Barbie as a child. I planned on buying one at the Walmart closest to me, but they didn’t have any. Instead, they had the Barbie Dreamhouse from the movie…

After looking at it in person, I can honestly say that if this movie came out in the 1990’s, I would’ve wanted this dream house for my birthday or Christmas. I looks pretty nice and just like the one in the movie. There was not an unboxed Dreamhouse to look at in person, so the picture on the box is as good as it gets.

EDIT: After publishing this post, I decided to double check to see if the measurements actually was given in centimeters only. They weren’t. The measurements were indeed given in imperial (Feet and inches) as well as metric (Centimeters and meters). This is why I crossed out the following paragraph. Yes, what I wrote isn’t true and it’s my fault for not double checking myself before publishing! I’m sorry for any confusion this may have cause anyone looking into purchasing the Dreamhouse! The final paragraph is still true though.

 

Even though it was neat to look at, I noticed some things about it. The first thing I noticed is the Dreamhouse’s measurements are given only in centimeters, not inches and centimeters. I’m not sure why this is, but if you or someone you know is looking into purchasing the Dreamhouse, are worried about the size of it, and doesn’t understand centimeter increments like inches, then you or someone you know will need to convert from centimeters to inches. It isn’t as big of an issue as other things, but it is odd to see in the United States. I haven’t seen other Barbie products, movie tie in or not, sold in the United States that don’t have inches given in the measurements!

The other thing I noticed about the Dreamhouse is the price. At the Walmart I found the Dreamhouse at, it was for sale for $179 USD. It is a lot of money, but I know on another website it costs $199 USD. Granted, the higher price is from Bloomingdales, which has other Barbie tie-in merchandise including children and women’s clothes, shoes, and accessories and sells products for a premium price point in general. Still, I found it odd there was a $20 USD price difference between the two Dreamhouses. I can’t see anything different in the Bloomingdales version than the Walmart version to justify the difference in price. Still, I think it would be a good idea to shop around to see which store has the better price for it.

Summertime means many things to people, but for me, it reminds me of my teenage years when I used to shop with my family at the mall.

There seemed to be something always happening at a mall or shopping center, so I found myself there more times than not. Also, I had more free time during the summer months, so I got to spend more time there than when school was in session.

Even though I’ve been to shopping centers and malls across the state of Arizona, many of my old favorites closed or are not in good shape. When thinking about my favorite shopping malls and centers for this post, I decided to narrow down the shopping centers featured in this post to ones that are still currently open and active for shopping. Sun Bum Sun Care Haul- June 2023

During a shopping trip to a grocery store I frequent, I discovered they sold Sun Bum products there. I wanted to try some different sunscreen products than the ones I already own and Sun Bum was one of the brands I wanted to try. After browsing the sun care area of the store, I settled on purchasing three Sun Bum sun care items. I debated if it would be worth mentioning these three products on my blog, but after using the sunscreen, I decided it would be worth it!

Bath and Body Works Semi Annual Sale Haul- June 2023

It’s that time of the year when Bath and Body Works holds their Semi Annual Sale! (Or as my friends and I like to call it, the Rubber Ducky Sale due to the sale’s rubber duck mascot!) This year, I didn’t anticipate purchasing anything. I don’t need anything, so why bother? I still decided to shop the sale and found some products I really did need! 6 Childhood/Teenage Favorite Shopping Malls/Centers in Arizona

Shopping malls and shopping centers in the state of Arizona have changed a lot since I was young. There used to be a new one popping up every few years. Today, many of those shopping malls have closed and been repurposed or torn down. Fortunately, some of them still exist today, but they are not the same as they were back when I was young and they were brand new.

Memorial Day 2023 Sale Roundup

It’s Memorial Day weekend and for many people, that means it’s the time to sit by the pool, relax, and reflect on what Memorial Day actually means. For others, it is also a time to shop sales held during this holiday weekend.

This year, there are many, and I do mean many, stores that are having sales this Memorial Day weekend. If you want to shop this weekend, then this is the post for you!
