5 Reasons I Love (and 5 Reasons Why I Hate) This Month in Arizona- December

It’s December and it’s time for Blogmas! This year, I decided for the first post of Blogmas to finish the post series I started in January. That means, for the last time, to publish my five reasons I love and five reasons I hate this month in Arizona.

Since it is December, and I love Christmas, there shouldn’t be any reason for me to hate living in Arizona. The weather is nice and it is the happiest time of the year. Sadly, no where is perfect and Arizona is no exception. Finding the reasons to hate this month were just as easy as finding reasons to love this month. So, I hope you enjoy the five reasons why I love and hate this month in Arizona.

Here are all the previous months posts…

Here are the five reasons I love December in Arizona…

  1. Depending where you live, the temperatures are cool, but not cold.
  2. Even though there are parts of the state that have cool temperatures, there are still enough mountains within traveling distance to experience proper cold weather. (And a white Christmas!)
  3. Christmas, and all the events connected to the holidays, aren’t normally canceled due to weather.
  4. It seems like Arizonans like to make up for the lack of cold weather by going a little overboard with the Christmas decorations. Perfect for Christmas fans!
  5. Weather for New Year’s Eve events are normally mild, yet chilly enough to dress warmly.

And here are the five reasons I hate December in Arizona…

  1. There have been years temperatures have been 100 degrees or more.
  2. There are plenty of winter visitors spending December (And Christmas) in the state.
  3. Weather in the mountains can be cold… and snowy… and there is ice on the roads…
  4. Due to the popularity of Arizona’s outdoors, hiking trails are busy. So are their parking lots.
  5. There have been years when temperatures drop so low, it freezes in the lowland valley parts of the state.

That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
