5 Favorite Christmas Light Parades in Arizona

One of my favorite holiday traditions is Christmas light parades. Arizona has quite a few. Some are large while others are small. Still, I love them all. Since I am thinking of going to a light parade this year, I decided to write a list of my five favorite light parades in Arizona.

APS Festival of Lights

The APS Festival of Lights parade is the first light parade I think of in Arizona. It is one of the largest parades in the state and is held every year in Phoenix, Arizona. It has been shown on local Phoenix TV before, but it’s more fun to attend the parade in person!

Casa Grande Light Parade

If you are looking for a small town parade that is still quite large, I recommend the Casa Grande Light Parade. Casa Grande is officially a city, but it is substantially smaller than Phoenix, Tucson, and other well known cities in Arizona. This allows it to be larger than neighboring towns’ light parades, but still capable of having a small town parade type feeling. Due to it’s size, there are many entries in the parade and they come from different parts of the county.

Fantasy of Lights Boat Parade

There are multiple boat light parades that happen in Arizona, but I decided to feature two. The first is the Fantasy of Light Boat Parade. It is held at Tempe Town Lake in Tempe, Arizona. The parade includes boats decorated with lights, floating up and down Tempe Town Lake.

Prescott Holiday Lights Parade

Prescott, like Casa Grande, is a city that is not as large as other cities in the state, yet it still has a small town feeling. This is why I also recommend Prescott’s Holiday Light Parade. Since it is located in Northern Arizona, it attracts a different group of entries, making it different than the other Valley and Central Arizona parades I mentioned in this post.

Lake Havasu City’s Holiday Boat Parade of Lights

The second boat light parade I want to feature in this post is held in Lake Havasu City. The Holiday Boat Parade of Lights is better known and bigger than Tempe’s. It is a fun and unique way to celebrate Christmas and watch a light parade!

That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
