5 Music Festivals I’d Like to See

It’s that time of the year when one of the biggest music festivals, Coachella, returns. Although there are many music festivals happening all year round, April is the time of the year when I pay attention to them. Originally, it wasn’t for Coachella, but for a more local music festival that happens every April. (I’m not going to say the name of it for privacy reasons. If I say it’s name, you’ll know the area where I currently live!)

Since this is the time of the year when I think of music festivals the most, I wanted to write a list of my top five festivals I want to see. These are not the only music festivals I want or am willing to go to, but right now these are the top festivals I would like to attend right now. Also, I’m not going to include the music festival that is held in my area on this list.

Coachella

Of course, I want to see Coachella. Their lineup is the best of the best of all genres of music and the performances are always so stunning. Yet, there are other reasons why I want to go to Coachella. It is also an arts festival, with art instillations to look at. It is also held near Palm Springs, California, which is a place I would like to visit before or after attending the festival.

Tomorrowland Berlin

I’m not gonna lie, I like EDM (Electronic Dance Music). It’s became one of my favorite genres of music as a teenager, but it’s reputation as party music, and the culture around it, made me second guess attending any festivals or live performances of EDM artists. Still, there was one EDM festival I wanted to attend: Tomorrowland.

Tomorrowland is a music festival held annually in Germany. Today, Tomorrowland is also held in three other countries: Brazil, Thailand, and France. (The festival held in France is called Tomorrowland Winter) There is also other events held in other countries. They are called Tomorrowland Presents. Tomorrowland is known for it’s elaborate stages, immersive storytelling nature, and for it’s lineup of well known and very skilled DJs, which is why I would love to attend one of their festivals.

Although all the festivals have these elements to them, the one I want to go to the most is Tomorrowland Berlin. The first Tomorrowland festivals were held in Germany, which is why I would love to go to Tomorrowland Berlin. It’s the one I always heard about and saw pictures and videos of, making it the one I would like to attend the most.

Ulta Music Festival

Traveling is expensive, especially when you travel outside the United States. So, one of my alternative EDM festivals I would like to attend is the Ulta Music Festival. Ulta also usually has some of the best EDM DJs in the world performing there. Ulta is held in Miami, Florida, which makes it more manageable and logical for me. Also, Florida is a state I would like to travel to on vacation, so I can spend more time in the state seeing and doing some, if not all, the things I want to do there.

CMA Fan Fest

In a complete turn around in music genre, I would love to attend the CMA Fan Fest. I wanted to attend the CMA Fan Fest since I was a girl in the 1990’s. Now-en days, the festival has adapted to modern country music, which isn’t my favorite. (I still prefer country music up to around 2010 or so and songs that came out between 2015 and 2016.) Yet, there are still some of my favorite country singers from the 1990’s and 2000’s (And before) that sometimes attend and sign autographs and perform. Even though I would’ve like to attend the CMA Fan Fests in the 1990’s and 2000’s, I still would go to get an autograph and watch a performance from my favorite country singers and songwriters.

Rockabilly Reunion

Rockabilly, along with country music and pop music from the 1980’s, was one of my favorite genres of music growing up. I didn’t get to listen to it a lot, but whenever I did, I loved the music. As I got older, I tried to listen to more rockabilly. Today, I’m not a major rockabilly fan, nor do I embrace a rockabilly lifestyle, but I do want to attend the Rockabilly Reunion!

The Rockabilly Reunion is a music festival held in Lake Havasu, Arizona. Along with live performances of rockabilly music, there is also a vintage car show and places to shop. Even though I’m not as big of a fan of rockabilly as I am other genres of music, I still want to go and enjoy the live music there!
