After spending the month of February not reading as much as I planned, I got the urge to read again near the end of March. I had some time to spend reading, so I began to pick up books I wanted to read and read them.
I ended up reading six books during the month of March. Three of the books I finished and three I didn’t. Even though I wanted to finish more than three books, I didn’t have the time or the energy to dedicate to read the amount I want to. So, I’m happy to have finished the three books I did!

Since the end of March, I have been thinking of the three books I finished. All the books I read are rereads. I originally borrowed the books from friends of mine, but the copies I read are my own personal copies. This was also the first time I read these new copies. Out of the three books, my favorite is Unearthly. My second favorite is Summer Gets to Work and my least favorite is Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour.
To be honest, there is a large gap between my favorite book and my second favorite book. Summer Gets to Work is, in my opinion, a little on the boring side. It is about a girl who learns about running her own business and friendship. I think it could’ve been really good, but it wasn’t as entertaining as other American Girl books I’ve read. (Especially the original American Girl historical books)
Even though it isn’t my favorite, I really didn’t like Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour. I read it when it was published in 2010 and didn’t like it. Yet, I forgot why I didn’t like it. After rereading it, I realized why. I have problems with the age gap between Amy and Roger, the situations they get into, and Amy’s mother. It is interesting to read because of the memorabilia from the road trip scattered throughout the book. It adds some more clues to what is going on between Amy and Roger on the road trip. Even though I liked it, the problems I have with it ruined it for me.
