Back to School Supply Shopping and Why I’m Not Happy With What is Available This Year

School has officially started (Unless you live in my school district. Then It’s been in session for over a month and a half…) and that means stores are starting to phase out back to school stuff for fall. As a childless adult, I can honestly say that, even though I don’t need to shop for children, back to school time is a great time to shop for office supplies. Pens, highlighters, and sticky notes are more plentiful and comes in styles, colors, and qualities that cannot normally be found any other time of the year.

Even though I’m don’t have children, I have friends that do. Whenever back to school stuff is available in stores, I like to look at anything my friends’ children would need as well. I don’t normally buy them anything, but I do enjoy looking at the different styles of folders, notebooks, and pencils targeting children.

This year, I was not really happy with the the things I saw available to purchase this year.

Shopping at Home Goods and If the Trendy Internet Shopping Craze is Really Worth It

Earlier this week, I decided to spontaneously stop by my closest Home Goods. I haven’t been to this particular Home Goods since the beginning of this year due to vehicle problems… and my own lack of motivation to actually shop. During this trip, I needed to go to the area for another reason. When I drove past the shopping area Home Goods is located, I remembered I wanted to shop for several things there. So, I decided it was a good idea to stop by!

While waiting for a price check on one of the items I was shopping for, I talked to the cashier about the store and a few other things. That was when she mentioned how popular Hello Kitty was last year. She talked about a long line for people to get into the store before it opened just to be able to purchase Hello Kitty merchandise.

Sephora Spring 2025 Sale Haul

Last month, Sephora held a sale for all their rewards program members. I’ve wanted to skip the spring sale for a few years, but this year I decided to place an order. There are multiple reasons why I decided to shop this spring’s sale, but the major one is because I needed to throw out my old lip balm because it was old and it was irritating my skin. Sephora sells my favorite lip balm, so I decided to place an order for it and some other beauty products I want/need.

Kate Spade New York x Target Collection Favorites: Women’s Clothing

Well, it’s time for my last favorites post from the Kate Spade New York x Target collection! As anyone that browsed the collection knows it is a large and diverse collection. For this post, I decided to focus on the last category of the collection I liked: Women’s clothing.

I like Kate Spade’s clothing and have purchased pieces on sale. I like the clothing, but sometimes they don’t fit me or cost quite a lot. (Thus why I like to look for the clothing on sale) This is why I was really excited to see what the Target collection has.

I like quite a lot of the clothing, but this collection does not have any of the clothing styles I’m currently looking for. Despite this, I am interested in the graphic design shirts, ruched linen tank tops, and a skirt I forgot to include in this post.

Everything in this post (And all other posts in this series) will be available to purchase online on April 12, 2025 at 3 EST and in store on April 12th.

All the photos in this post are originally from the media pack available for free on Target’s website. I edited them for this post.

Kate Spade New York x Target Collection Favorites: Party Supplies

As a fan of the fashion brand Kate Spade New York, I associate certain things with their products. One of them is how well made and stylish their handbags are. Another is there will be polka dots. And yet another their whimsical and sometimes funny designs.

When Target announced their collaboration with Kate Spade New York, I wondered how the collection would include what I associate with the brand: Their whimsical designs. Although I found many products in the collection that I see as Kate Spade whimsy-like designs, I liked the way the party supplies look the best.

For this post, picking my favorites were easy. Some of my most favorite party supplies are the Make a Wish candles, Hip Hip Hurray headbands, and the 2 count round boxes. Although these are many products featured in this post, I decided to include products I laugh at, but probably will not be buying. The most prominent one is the 4 piece mylar balloon headbands. They look cute and I think they are funny, but I don’t think I will ever use them!

Everything in this post (And all other posts in this series) will be available to purchase online on April 12, 2025 at 3 EST and in store on April 12th.

Native x Dunkin Body Care Collection

Over a month ago, I heard Native was releasing a collaboration with Dunkin’. I didn’t think I would see the collection in a store near me, but I was wrong.

Near late January, I found the collection for sale on an end cap at my closest Walmart. They had the whole collection for sale that day. Since then the collection had sold out, but I really enjoyed seeing the collection in person.

Mini Brands x Ulta Beauty- What I Got and What I Plan on Doing With It

In one of my Ulta Beauty haul posts from November 2024, I mentioned I purchased a Mini Brands x Ulta Beauty ball. You can read that post here. While writing the post, I thought talking about the ball would make a great post topic. Mini Brands are not everyone’s cup of tea, so I won’t be talking about other Mini Brands balls I own. Yet, I still wanted to talk about the Ulta Beauty version and what I plan on doing with it and all my other Mini Brands ball contents I own.

Ulta Beauty Haul- Late November 2024 Part 1

In late November, I decided to visit Ulta Beauty twice more for more beauty products I wanted and needed. Some of the things I needed included a new shower brush, nail file, and tweezers. I thought my first trip would be the last trip for the month, but I forgot some of the things I needed. So, I ended up going back for another trip in the same month.

For my second trip, I ended up getting many of the things I originally wanted to buy. Even though I didn’t purchase everything I wanted, I am happy with everything I purchased!

Favorite Walmart Christmas Ornaments for 2024

Every holiday season, I enjoy looking at the new ornaments. I do this partly because I enjoy looking at the new ornaments, the new holiday trends, and any potential replacements for my old ornaments if I need them.

This year, I found many pretty and cute ornaments at Walmart. I don’t always find nice ornaments at Walmart, but this year I found many! They include vintage inspired ornaments and glass ball ornaments.

Walmart’s The Nightmare Before Christmas 2024 Holiday Decor

For 2024, Walmart had a lot of holiday decor that was popular. Unfortunately, my Walmart, which is a smaller sized store, didn’t get very many decor that was popular. Instead, there were popular decor that was popular in the area where I live. One of those decorations was inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The Nightmare Before Christmas and many Tim Burton directed films and TV shows are popular in my area. So is the merchandise inspired by them. This is why I wasn’t surprised when most of The Nightmare Before Christmas themed decorations sold out. There was a restock around late October, so there were items still for sale in December. Still, The Nightmare Before Christmas and items relating to it still remains to be very popular.

I was able to see the decorations in store before they began to sell out. Even though I do not share my area’s fandom for The Nightmare Before Christmas, I did find some items in the collection really cute.
