I’ve been a fan of rose scented products for years, but finding rose fragrance I like can be hit or miss. For the most part, I don’t like the other scent notes in them.
When I discovered NEST New York’s Turkish Rose Perfume Oil, I was interested. I smelled really good, but I was more curious about the fact it is a perfume oil. I wanted to know how well it would work on my skin. Also, the scent notes was very interesting to me.
Back in the early 2010’s, I discovered The Summer I Turned Pretty novel series. I read it, like them, and then moved onto other books that were newly released. Many years later, a series based off the series was released on Amazon. Although I was excited to see the series, the books will always be my favorite way to experience the story.
Even though I like the series, I felt conflicted about buying the tie in merchandise. Although they were really pretty and were my style, I felt they were too youthful for me. So, I skipped on purchasing many of the merchandise. The ones I purchased are items I really like and make me happy to this day. Three of the products I purchased were the Skylar x The Summer I Turned Pretty perfume collection.
I love the fragrances a lot, I decided to save reviewing each of the fragrances for future posts. Instead, I will be focusing on the collaboration packaging and if they are truly worth purchasing.
In 2024, LoveShackFancy released the fourth fragrance in their fragrance collection. The fragrance is called Endless Dreams. This new fragrance peaked my interest because it has scent notes I usually like. Even though it has scent notes I like, based off previous experience trying LoveShackFancy’s other perfumes, I didn’t think I would like it. In order to give me a chance to try Endless Dreams without spending a lot of money purchasing a bottle, I decided to buy the travel size of it.
A few years ago, after some serious health problems, I began to declutter my things. Years later, I am still slowly making my way through my things, declutting them and deciding what I ultimately want to do with them. One of the sections of my things I’m the most overwhelmed to declutter is my fragrance collection.
To me, fragrances are hard to get rid of. If I don’t like the scent, then I don’t mind getting rid of it. Yet, there are some that I like the scent of, but don’t like wearing it. Over the years, I amassed a large collection of fragrances I still don’t want to get rid of.
Even though the day is coming for me to get rid of some of the fragrances, I still want to keep them. Since I am still currently committed to keeping my fragrance collection as is, I decided to write a post featuring some of the fragrances I own and some opinions about them. All the fragrances on this post are not ones I mentioned on this blog before and were collected over the years. All the fragrances are celebrity fragrances or are inspired by a TV show, which is one of the reasons why I don’t want to get rid of them. Although there are specific fragrances in this post have scents that I like a lot, there are some I don’t. I’ll go into this a little more later in this post.
When I was a teenager, I used to love the fragrances sold exclusively in Hollister. They were fresh, youthful, and smelled perfect on me. As I got older, I didn’t shop at Hollister as much, but my love for the fragrances continued.
During a shopping trip to my closest Marshall’s, I found Hollister fragrances for sale. At that time, I forgot the name of most of my favorite Hollister fragrances and which ones are no longer available. Despite this, I began to look at the Hollister fragrances Marshall’s had for sale to see if one of the names jogged my memory. One of the fragrances, Free Wave for Her, seemed to jog my memory enough that I decided to buy it.
Every year, Victoria’s Secret releases two limited edition versions of their Bombshell fragrances. There is one fragrance released for the summertime and a second for the holiday/Christmas season. Sometimes I liked these fragrances, but sometimes I don’t.
This year’s holiday fragrance is called Bombshell Celebration. It has fragrance notes that peaked my interest, so I purchased a bottle to try and see if I’d enjoy.
On September 1, 2021, Dior released a new commercial about the new version of the iconic Miss Dior fragrance. I used to love the Miss Dior fragrance, but after Dior changed from the 2006 version into the next version of the fragrance, I didn’t like it so much.
After the 2006 version, Dior began to turn Miss Dior towards a more woody and heavier scent. I know of many people who love the newer versions of Miss Dior, but I personally loved the lighter scent of the 2006 version. Because of this, I tried to search for a new fragrance that was light and floral to replace Miss Dior in my fragrance collection.
The first time I heard there would be a new version of Miss Dior in the commercial released on YouTube.
After seeing it, I felt indifferent about the new fragrance. I didn’t like the other versions of the fragrance, so I figured I wouldn’t like this version. When I did some research on the new fragrance’s notes, I became more curious about the scent.
The description for the 2021 Miss Dior Eau de Parfum on Dior’s website is as follows…
Miss Dior Eau de Parfum reinvents itself with a new scent.
In 1947, Miss Dior was born out of a wild impetus where the pressing desire to re-enchant women’s lives and open up their eyes to the sparkling colors of love again was felt. Following a bleak period, this scent was synonymous with renewed happiness, poetry, and harmony for Christian Dior at that time. Miss Dior intrigues, excites and invites us to marvel at love and all the beauty in the world.
Echoing its inspiring character, the new Miss Dior fragrance is like an olfactory “millefiori”. Centifolia Rose, with its honeyed and peppery notes, reigns over a delectably creamy velvet heart. It is embroidered with fresh Lily-of-the-Valley notes, an apricot-tinged Peony accord, and powdery Iris notes. Miss Dior is thus built around an elegant, striking bouquet––like a “millefiori” that seems to carry countless flowers in endless colors. At the base, slight notes of tender wood envelop the composition.
The new Miss Dior Eau de Parfum now boasts a vibrant, pointillist couture, poignard fabric bow, with a truly unique assortment of florals. As such, a few centimeters of pure luxury is tied around the bottle’s neck. Beneath the bottle, the emblematic Miss Dior houndstooth motif is engraved in the glass.
The scent, which has it’s signature rose in it, also has floral notes of Lilly of the Valley, Peony, and Iris. I love how floral heavy it is, but I still am worried about about the base notes, which is wood. Wood is often times paired with some type of musk, so I’m worried the scent will aggravate my allergies to the point I won’t like it. Still, this fragrance is adverstised as having “floral and fresh notes”, so it peaks my interest enough to find it and test it in store. I hope it will smell good and won’t aggravate my allergies!
It’s week 2 of Ulta Beauty’s 21 Days of Beauty and this week, there are a few beauty products I would like to look at. Besides some makeup products from Estee Lauder and Urban Decay, I would like to buy an It Cosmetics brush set. And now, here are my favorites from week 2.

While shopping at Kohl’s after Christmas sale a few years ago, I stumbled across a gift set with two full sized bottles of Vera Wang’s Princess and Flower Princess. I wanted to buy a bottle of Princess for over a year and, since the gift set on sale cost so much less than one bottle fulled price, I picked up the gift set. Although I don’t know if there will be another gift set of Vera Wang’s fragrances available at Kohl’s this year, I wanted to talk about the fragrances away. It’s a new month and, after looking at all the new perfumes available before Mother’s Day, I realized there are more perfumes I would like to add to my collection. After careful consideration, and trying them in store, I narrowed my choices down to six perfumes I would like to buy. I already talked about most of the perfumes on this list, but there are a few I never talked about on my blog and decided to add to my shopping list anyway. I hope to buy these fragrances before the end of summer, but I’ll need to see if I want to spend my money on all the perfumes I want or save it for something else.
Anyway, here are the 6 perfumes I would like to buy before the end of summer…
