Music Review- Now That’s What I Call Country Classics 90s (2020)

While recently shopping at Walmart, I wandered into the music and movie section of the store. The music section at the Walmart I shopped at is now tinny compared to the size it used to be when the Walmart opened in the late 1990’s, but most of the music in the section are country music. Country music is probably one of the most popular genres of music in the area, so I wasn’t surprised there was many albums from country music genre. While looking at the CDs, I found a few albums I didn’t own and some I seriously considered buying but never did. One of the albums is Now That’s What I Call Country Classics 90s.

I listened to the Now That’s What I Call Music CDs since they were first introduced back in the late 1990’s, but, thanks to my focus on other things and my own lack of interest in modern day music (Sans a few songs and artists), I stopped buying them and listened to my old CDs. I thought about buying this version of the Now album series, but I ultimately didn’t. After looking at it again, I decided to buy it. After listening to it, I thought it would be a good album to write a review post about. Continue reading “Music Review- Now That’s What I Call Country Classics 90s (2020)”

Favorite Music Hits from the Year 2000 (Country Music Only)

Back in the year 2000, I used to listen to pop and top 30 music all the time, but I also listed to an equal amount of country music. Today, I don’t listen to country music nearly as much because the music style has changed so much I really don’t like it at all. Although there are some country songs that are new and enjoy listening to, for the most part I listen to the “oldies” from the 2000’s and any decade prior to the year 2013. Because of this, I listen to more songs I loved in the year 2000 than pop music.

And so, without further delay, here is a list of all the country hits I used to like in 2000.

  • It’s a Great Day to Be Alive- Travis Tritt
  • Prayin’ for Daylight- Rascal Flatts
  • There is no Arizona- Jamie O’Neal
  • Kiss This- Aaron Tippin
  • Breath- Faith Hill
  • What About Now- Lonestar
  • How Do You Like Me Now?!- Toby Keith
  • I Hope You Dance- Lee Ann Womack

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!

Favorite Music Hits from the Year 2000 (Pop/Rock/Ect. Music Only)

It’s the last few days of 2020 and I’m lamenting about all the posts I wanted to write this year. One of the post topics I wanted to write about is reminiscing about the year 2000. I didn’t end up writing any of the posts because I felt the events of this year, especially the pandemic, made reminiscing about my good old days was in poor taste. So, I held back.

Now it’s the last week of 2020 and I feel like I missed my golden opportunity to talk about the year 2000. Despite this, I know I can take all my post ideas and topics and rewrite them into a future post. All I need to do is write those posts. Although I’m planning on saving all my post ideas for later, I still wanted to talk about something nostalgic from the year 2000.

Back in 2000, listening to music was one of my favorite hobbies. Ironically, during the day at home orders, I began to listen to all the music I could find that I used to enjoy. Even though it’s been years since I listen to the music, I wanted to listen to it, mostly because it was something I would listen to when I was stressed or worried, much like I was this year. Although I enjoyed many songs from the year 2000, I wanted to share my favorites from the year 2000 that I still love to this day…

  • (You Drive Me) Crazy- Britney Spears
  • I Try- Macy Gray
  • Breathless- The Corrs
  • I Need to Know- Marc Anthony
  • Shape of My Heart- Backstreet Boys
  • No More (Baby I’ma Do Right)- 3LW
  • Gotta Tell You- Samantha Mamba
  • I Knew I Loved You- Savage Garden
  • With Wide Open Arms- Creed
  • He Love U Not- Dream
  • It’s My Life- Bon Jovi

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!

Recent Additions to My Vinyl Record Collection- September 2020

I love owning and playing vinyl records, but I don’t have a large collection that I feel comfortable playing. Most of my collection is made up of vintage, original print vinyl records that can be played, but I’m worried about ruining them but don’t. Because of this, I decided to try to collect vinyl records that are reprints of certain albums or of newer albums that I can purchase very easily.

Over the past few months, I found a few albums I would like to own on vinyl. Although I didn’t buy them at the same time, I’m very happy to own them and wanted to talk about them in a post. Continue reading “Recent Additions to My Vinyl Record Collection- September 2020”

Current Favorite EDM Throwback Songs- April 2020

Being stuck at home during quarantine gave me a lot of time to think and reflect about a lot of things I used to do. One of the things I used to do a lot of in my younger years was listen to EDM or electronic dance music. I was never a raver, but listening to the music in the background when I used to work on my college papers. While I worked over the past month, I became tired of listening to the music I normally played while I worked and started to search for something else to listen to. That search lead me down a rabbit hole of old EDM music I used to play and listen to avidly. So here is a list of some of my most played/listened to EDM songs in the past month. Top 5 Favorite Christmas Songs for 2018

It’s the day before Christmas eve! I hope everyone is ready or almost ready!

Since I’m winding down the Christmas themed posts for Blogmas, I decided to list my top 5 favorite Christmas songs. I need to admit, my favorite Christmas songs fluctuate depending on the year and the mood I’m in, but I decided to list my favorite Christmas songs for 2018. If I do Blogmas next year, which I hope I’ll have time to do, I plan on making a new list for that year. It will be fun to see if I’m in the same mood for the same Christmas songs!

Anyway, enough talking! Onto the songs! Continue reading “Top 5 Favorite Christmas Songs for 2018”

Black Friday 2017 Haul- Target

Last week was Thanksgiving and Black Friday and, even though it’s the week after, I wanted to talk about what I bought on sale or while I was shopping.

The first place I shopped at is Target. I didn’t buy a lot of things in the Black Friday sale, but I still needed everything I bought. So, I’m happy with my haul.
