Fall is the season Arizona wakes up after a summer hibernation due to the heat, so there are a lot of things to do during the season!

A List of Notable Fantasy Novels and Series to Read During Fall

Last year, I wrote a post in which I talked about reading fantasy novels during the fall. (You can read the post here.) This year, I felt inspired to talk more openly about fantasy novels I read.

I still consider August a summer month, but fall home decor, scented candles, and more are all around. Even if you are like me and hang onto summer until September, August is still a great month to search for new books to read as the weather gets cooler outside. Since I like to read fantasy novels in the fall, I decided to create a list of the noteworthy  novels and series I like the most.

October 2023 Collective Book Haul Part 3

Well, this is the last post in the October 2023 haul posts! I planned on publishing this post prior to Thanksgiving, but those plans changed. Instead, I’m publishing it before December starts!

The books in this haul are either fall themed or are what I think of as potentially fall themed. They include four fall themed romance novels and one novelization of a medieval fantasy movie. Out of all the books I purchased in October, the books in this haul are some of my favorites. When I purchased these books, I felt worried and hesitant about purchasing them. Now that I owned them for over a month, I am very happy to own them. They are now some of my favorite fall themed books I own.

Making My Own Pumpkin Puree for Pumpkin Pies- Part 2

Earlier this fall, I wrote a post about trying to make my own pumpkin puree out of a pumpkin I purchased in store. I wanted to use the puree to make pumpkin pies out of. I was worried I purchased the wrong type of pumpkin for pies. Sadly, I was right. So, in late October, I went searching for a new pumpkin that would be good for pies. I found not one, but two pumpkins. They are small but I was very happy to find them!

8 Fall Activities to Do in Arizona

Fall is a wonderful time of the year in the state of Arizona. The temperatures are cooling off, the days are getting shorter, and outdoor weather events are in full swing! Even though there are so many activities and events, there are still specific events and activities that are related to the seasons. If you want to still celebrate fall, yet want to do it with an Arizona flair, I compiled a list of eight fall activities that can be done in the state of Arizona. Some of them are typical fall activities while others may be a little bit different and unique. I hope you are inspired to travel the state of Arizona and enjoy some fall activities!

I Bought a Pumpkin for Fall! Why I Did It and What I’m Going to Do With It

Yes, the title of the post says it all. I purchased a pumpkin for the fall! It wasn’t very expensive, but it is still important. This pumpkin is the first pumpkin I ever purchased to create pumpkin pie with!

Before I talk about why I decided to not use canned pumpkin to make pumpkin pie with, I wanted to show off what it looks like…

Yes, I know it is really excessive to give a pumpkin I purchased at the grocery store its own photoshoot, but I was really excited to own it! Growing up, I used to make Jack-o-Lanterns out of real pumpkins. They were fun to create, but they never lasted very long. As an adult, I decided to used fake pumpkins to make Jack-o-Lanterns instead. Since then, I never bought a pumpkin.

7 Fall Town and City Road Trip Destinations in Arizona

For many, fall is a great time to go on a road trip. The temperatures are cooling off. In honor of the changing season, there are so many special events and thing happening. Fall road trips are especially important in the state of Arizona because of the changing temperatures. Even though I like the idea of visiting places all over the state, here are certain places in Arizona that are more fun to visit in the fall. I personally like certain towns and cities in the state of Arizona. Some of them have changing fall leaves, which makes them very beautiful. Others have a spooky sort of mystique around them. For this post, I decided to pick seven of my favorite town and city road trip destinations to visit during the fall in Arizona.

My Dream Fall Bucket List Activities for 2023

It’s officially fall! I’m always really happy to see this season come, but this year, I feel like I need to make this year’s fall special. I want to celebrate the fall arrival and enjoy the fact there are so many things to see and do!

Sadly, I don’t think I will be able to do everything I want to do in order to celebrate fall. Instead, I want to write a dream bucket list of all the places I want to go to and want to do this season. I probably won’t be able to do everything on this list, but these are the things I ideally would like to do in order to celebrate fall this year.

The Annual Fall Reread of Fantasy Novels (And How This Became a Tradition for Me)

For the past few years, I’ve been watching aesthetic themed YouTube videos. To be honest, I really wanted to watch these YouTube videos in order to offset the crazy, not-so-cozy life I live. The escapism these videos have provided for me has been a great relief during some of the hardest and most stressful times of my adult life.

In these videos, they talk about a fall aesthetic book suggestions. When I was a child in the 1990’s, prior to the rise of the internet aesthetic, friends of mine would talk about fall being the perfect time to read certain books. I didn’t think about celebrating a season by reading specific books (Except for Christmas, Easter, and other Christian holidays), but it did peak my interest. So, I started to read the books they did. Now, I can’t see the fall and Halloween season without them.

Unlike many people I found online that make fall aesthetic book suggestions, my books are not exactly the same. Many of the books I read are fantasy novels. Not horror books. Fantasy novels. Some of the novels my friends suggested to me were the Lord of the Rings series and The Chronicles of Narnia. Other books were The Chronicles of Prydain, The Last Unicorn, and, if I could find it, the novelizations of Jim Henson’s Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal as well as the novelization of the movie Dragonheart.

Hempz Fall 2022 Skin Care at Ulta Beauty

I went back and forth about writing a post about Hempz’s Fall 2022 skincare. It’s not because of controversy around the Hemp Seed oil in the Hemp products, it’s because I’m allergic to Hemp Seed oil! I prefer to talk about products that I am not allergic to, so I didn’t know if writing about Hempz on my blog would be a wise idea. Despite this, Hempz is a well loved product in the area where I live. Once I saw Hempz’s Fall 2022 skincare line for sale at Ulta Beauty, I thought it would be a great time to write a post about it.
