A List of Notable Fantasy Novels and Series to Read During Fall
August 5, 2024
Last year, I wrote a post in which I talked about reading fantasy novels during the fall. (You can read the post here.) This year, I felt inspired to talk more openly about fantasy novels I read.
I still consider August a summer month, but fall home decor, scented candles, and more are all around. Even if you are like me and hang onto summer until September, August is still a great month to search for new books to read as the weather gets cooler outside. Since I like to read fantasy novels in the fall, I decided to create a list of the noteworthy novels and series I like the most.
- Lord of the Rings Trillogy by J.R.R. Tolkien
- The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
- The Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien
- Beowulf by J.R.R. Tolkien and Christopher Tolkien
- The Fall of Arthur by J.R.R. Tolkien and Christopher Tolkein
- Sir Gawain and The Green Knight by J.R.R. Tolkien and Christopher Tolkein
- Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis
- The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander
- The Once and Future King Trillogy by T.S. White
- The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
- The Neverending Story by Michael Ende
- The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle
That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
