It’s Wednesday again and that means another favorite runway looks for fall/winter 2018. Although I have multiple designers’ fall/winter runway looks I wanted to feature in today’s post, I picked Givenchy.
I’ve known about Givenchy for years. Even though I favor Christian Dior, Hubert de Givenchy’s designs from the 1050’s are my second favorite. This year, Givenchy drew worldwide attention after the royal wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as the designer the Duchess’ wedding dress. Because of the renewed interest in the house of Givenchy, I wanted to find my favorite looks from Givenchy’s fall 2018 couture collection.

It’s that time of the year when fragrance commercials pop up on TV and social media ads. Although they are very nice and well put together, there is one commercial I love to this day: Chanel N°5 Le Film
I saw Le Film for the fragrance Chanel N°5 during the Christmas season in 2004. The 2 minutes 2 seconds film stars Nicole Kidman as an actress that runs away from the Hollywood life and falls in love with a man, played by Rodrigo Santoro. If you believe the film has a Moulin Rouge feel to it, you’re right. Baz Luhrmann directed Moulin Rogue as well as this commercial.
Even though the commercial is 14 years old this year, I still look for it on YouTube and watch it during the Christmas/holiday season. To me, it’s the best fragrance commercial I’ve ever seen and it still makes me feel mushy, sentimental, and romantic every time I see it.

It’s that time of the year when bloggers and YouTubers make wish lists for Christmas. Although I have a Christmas wish list, it’s not very long and is full of things I would rather not post online. Because of this, I did not have anything to write a blog post about for Blogmas. So, I decided to talk about 5 luxury items I would like to own one day.
Although I started this list with the intention of naming a variety of luxury items I would like to one day own, the list soon became full of handbags because they are portable, fashionable, and, if I purchase one in a color that will fit in with my wardrobe, is something I can use and enjoy for years. If you knew me when I was growing up, you’d know I never made it a secret I wanted to travel when I grew up. When I became an adult, I was unable to travel due to health problems. Since then, I’ve healed a great deal and would like to travel, but I do not have everything I believe I will need to travel with. While searching for travel items in stores, I began to form a list of items I wish I would be given for Christmas, birthdays, or any other special time as a gift.

I know I’m currently in the middle of Blogmas, but I wanted to give everyone (Including myself) a break from Christmas posts to talk about something not Christmas themed.
I love beautiful, pretty ballgowns and dresses. This time of the year is when there are many parties and events when dresses can be worn. I must admit, I will not be going to a party this year (Or at least, that I know of) but there is still a part of me that loves to look at these dresses and wonder what party I would go wearing them.
When it comes to dresses fit for a ball, one of the designer I always think of is Elie Saab. I have loved his designs for years and inspires me to get better at sewing. For Elie’s Fall/Winter 2018 couture line, it includes some beautiful dresses I love and find very inspiring. For this post, I decided to pick five of my favorite looks to share in this post.
