Although I would love to travel within the United States during the holiday season, I have a list of places I would like to travel to outside the United States. To end the series of post about the places I would like to travel to, I wanted to list five places I would like to travel to outside the United States during the holiday season.

Tokyo, Japan

Japan is not the first place that comes to people’s minds when it comes to traveling somewhere for the holidays, but I would love to go. Japan does have holiday events, though they are secular in nature and do not include Santa Claus or any of the symbols someone in the United States would expect to see during the holiday season. The main holiday season attraction Japan has that I would like to see is Tokyo’s Winter Illuminations. The Winter Illuminations are holiday light displays. They are held in theme parks as well as shopping areas and some are free to the public.

London, England

England, and all of the United Kingdom, has many places I would like to go to for a trip during the holiday season, but I would like to go to London and use it as a home base for traveling outside of the city to the country. (Those plans are subject to change) Things I would like to see in London during the holiday season is the store window displays, The Royal Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker, as well as a slew of other places and events I would like to see.

Dublin, Ireland

I always wanted to go to Dublin and Ireland in general. I have a list of places formed in my mind of places I would like to go to in Dublin and Ireland, but none of those places are places I would like to go to just for the holiday season. Still, I would like to try to see them during the holiday season and take photos of Dublin during the month of December.

Paris, France

Like Dublin, I do not have a specific place or event I would like to go to in Paris, France during the holiday season, but I would like to go anyway. I’ve seen photographs online of the couture store fronts decorated for the holidays and I would love to see them in person. Also, I would like to take photographs around Paris decorated for the holidays as a whole.

Sidney, Australia

The last place I would like to go outside the United States is Sidney, Australia. Since Australia is in the southern hemisphere, winter in the United States is Australia’s summer. Because of this, I think it could be fun to go to Sidney during the holiday season that is not cold, but warm!
