Ulta Beauty’s 21 Days of Beauty Fall 2024 Favorites- Week 1

It’s time for Ula Beauty’s 21 Days of Beauty Event! For this semi-annual sale, there are two major changes. The first change is the sale has been renamed the 21 Days of Beauty again. The second change is it starts on Friday, August 30.

Earlier this year, I was too busy with offline life to write posts about my favorites from the Spring 2024 sale. You can read more about that in a post here. This sale, I have time to write posts about my favorites from the sale!

The products included in the sale include some of my personal favorite products (MAC lipstick, Clinique Almost Lipstick, and Philosophy fragrances) and products I know are popular online. (Olaplex’s Hair Prefector and Supergoop sunscreen) Overall, I’m pretty happy with the selection available this week. For this post, I decided to pick both my personal favorites and favorites that may be popular as well. I hope you enjoy seeing my favorites!

Bath and Body Works Sun Ripened Raspberry Shower Gel Review

Over a year ago, I purchased two bottle of shower gel in the scent Sun-Ripened Raspberry from Bath and Body Works. It was available for purchase during Bath and Body Work’s 2023 semi annual sale.

I stopped using Bath and Body Works shower gel earlier this year in order to see if it would help my eczema. Since then I needed to switch over to using my old type of body washes. Even though I don’t like switching between scents of body washes, I decided to use my bottles of the Sun-Ripened Raspberry. I recently used my last bottle of Sun-Ripened Raspberry and wanted to write a review of it.

Stranger Things x Bath and Body Works Full Collection

It’s finally here! Last Thursday, Bath and Body Works released the second half of their Stranger Things collection. As I mentioned in my previous post about the collection, I believed there would be a Pocketbac holder and hand soap in the collection. I was right, but there were many things not included in the sneak peek that were a surprise to me.

Since I wrote a post in anticipation of the new collection, I decided to write one about the new releases. As I write this post, some of the items in the collection I like the most, specifically the Cassette Tape Pocketbac holder, are sold out online.

Beauty Products I’m Interested In- August 2024

It’s been a while since I wrote a post dedicated to beauty products I want to buy! I was too worried about my allergies, eczema, and other health related issues to even look at beauty products. After months of working on my health, I feel comfortable looking at new releases and what is available for purchase again.

Since we are nearing the time when beauty brands release their Christmas gift set collections, I plan on writing at least one more post about the beauty products I am interested in. For now, I will be talking about the products that caught my eye and am interested in. I’m still very worried about my health, so there is a major likely hood I won’t be purchasing anything on this list. Yet, I’m still really interested in them!

Bath and Body Works x Stranger Things: New Products Coming Soon

Tomorrow, August 22, 2024, Bath and Body Works will release all the products in their newest collaboration collection. The collaboration collection is with Netflix’s series Stranger Things.

Bath and Body Works released candles in the collection, but more products will be released tomorrow. According to emails, there is a way to preview the collection in the Bath and Body Works app. I didn’t long onto the app, so I will be waiting until tomorrow to find out what the whole collection has.

Even though I am waiting, I still wanted to write a post about the collection so far and what I think the collection will have without signing into the Bath and Body Works app.

Bath and Body Works Sun-Washed Citrus Shower Gel Review

As the summertime winds down, it is time for me to review my fragrances and body washes in order to see which scents I want to continue to use or not. Since I live in Arizona, the summer heat will continue for a while longer. This gives me more time to enjoy my summer fragrances even more!

Over the past few months, I have been trying to calm a major eczema breakout down. It is originally caused by my allergies (Yes, my allergies are truly that bad) so management has been focused on using products that are hypoallergenic. Even though I have been really good about introducing new products that will help my eczema.

Unfortunately, the body wash I was using turned out to have an ingredient I’m allergic to. So, I switched to a Bath and Body Wash with scent notes that don’t bother me. This turned out to be Sun-Washed Citrus. I purchased a bottle during the Winter 2023 Semi-Annual Sale. (You can read the post about it here) It has my old favorite notes, citrus, and is a formula my skin is used to being exposed to. (I was using Bath and Body Wash shower gels prior to my break out, but I discontinued using them due to my search for any products with allergens) So, I began to use it.

As I write this post, I am almost finished with my bottle of it. Since summer is nearing it’s end (Or at least that’s what the stores and their home decor section makes it feel like) I wanted to write a post about this shower gel and the fragrance.

Bath and Body Works Semi Annual Sale Haul- June 2024

Last month I shopped Bath and Body Works’ Semi Annual Sale. I decided to shop the sale online instead of in person. Since I was so busy in June, this was the most convent way to shop the sale.

The majority of my haul are body washes. Even though I am focusing on purchasing body washes made for eczema sufferers, I do sometimes use Bath and Body Work’s body washes. I sometimes need a more aggressive body wash than my normal body wash. This is why I still occasionally use Bath and Body Work’s body washes.

Beauty Product Favorites- June 2024

June 2024 was a rough month for me. Along with stress from work (And other life related stress), there was no water to my house for three days and a power outage on a day when outdoor temperatures were over 115 degrees Fahrenheit. None of these things helped my ongoing healing from my eczema flare up from last year.

Even though I went through some pretty stressful situations last month, my eczema didn’t flare up too badly. In fact, I was able to calm it down enough that my skin swelling decressed more than it was at the beginning of the month! I credit this to my change in lifestyle by focusing more on sitting down and resting more often, ridding my life of stressors (Thus why I’m so interested in declutting and cleaning), and a major change in beauty products I use.

I made major changes since December in the kind of products I use and why. As an extra layer of precaution, I am not using any fragrances. I have an idea when I will start to wear them again, but it probably won’t be until November at the earliest. Also, I am also not wearing much makeup. The makeup I do wear is the same products in the same color. All these things have improved my skin condition and made swelling go down.

Even though my beauty favorites for June 2024 are either very eczema friendly products or are old makeup products I may have talked about before in the past, I still wanted to write a post dedicated to them. They are truly my beauty favorites for the month and, even though they may not provide a lot of inspiration to anyone looking for new products, they are something I am using and work very well to care for my body and my overall health.

Ulta Beauty Haul- April 2024

In April, I decided to make a shopping trip to Ulta Beauty. I wanted to see if I could find beauty products at other stores, but I ended up giving up and shop at Ulta Beauty instead. While there, I found some products I wanted to own a backup of and some products I spontaneously purchased.

Favorite Beauty Products for April 2024

It’s the last day of April and I am focused on the beginning of May! I’m really excited for it to start. Even though I’m excited for May, I wanted to reflect on certain things that happened during April. One of the things I reflected on are the beauty products I really liked and used during the month.
