O.P.I. x Barbie Collection Nail Look (And Some Thoughts About the Polish)

When I purchased the bottles of OPI x Barbie nail lacquer (Or nail polish as I call it), I intended on painting my nails as soon as possible. Sadly, I didn’t have the time to pain my nails until weeks after I purchased the nail polish. (I sometimes work a lot with my hands, which isn’t good for pretty polished nails!) When I did get the chance to paint them with the OPI x Barbie polishes, I was so excited I couldn’t decide on what colors to paint them. I normally like to paint my nails the same way because I like keeping them uniform and subtle. (Even if the polish color is pretty bold) This time, I decided to go out of my comfort zone and paint one nail one color and the other nails the same color.

O.P.I. x Barbie Nail Polish Collection Haul Part 2

After purchasing my first haul of polishes (Or nail lacquer) from the O.P.I. x Barbie collection, I thought my shopping for the nail polishes was done. After all, purchased all the colors I really wanted and, even though I didn’t get the color I wanted the most, I was happy just to have the colors I have.

A few weeks after I purchased the polishes, I found some of the colors still available for purchase at Walmart. This time, they were on sale for a deep discount. After thinking about the nail polishes, I decided it was such a great savings to pass up. So, I purchased three of the four remaining colors I don’t have in my collection.

O.P.I. x Barbie Nail Polish Collection Haul Part 1

After discovering the OPI x Barbie nail lacquer (Or nail polish) collection available at Walmart, I decided to purchase bottles of all the colors I wanted most from the collection. I really liked the pink colors the most. I love pink nail polish, but I haven’t found a favorite pink color nail polish in years. When I saw the shades of pink in the collection, I decided to purchase and try as many pink shades I can find available for purchase.

O.P.I. x Barbie Nail Polish Collection In Store Photographs

Over a month ago, Barbie: The Movie was released in movie theaters. It is currently up for preorder on Amazon and soon, it will be available to stream online. I know I am really late to post a lot about the Barbie: The Movie merchandise, but after a lot of thought, I decided to write a few posts about my favorite inspired by merchandise!

I loved a lot of the merchandise inspired by the movie, but most of it was impractical for me to wear or use. (Well, at this point of my life at least!) For this reason, I would admire it, then move on with my life. One of the more practical and useful merchandise is the O.P.I. x Barbie: The Movie nail polish collection.

I really liked the colors in the nail polish collection. I’m a fan of sparkly nail polish, pink nail polish, and blue nail polish since I was in elementary school. Today, I don’t have a lot of brightly colored, Barbie worthy pink nail polishes in my nail polish collection. I also don’t wear blue nail polish anymore, but I still enjoy looking at it! When I saw the complete nail polish collection, I really wanted to purchase many of the colors. Unfortunately, due to work and other commitments, I knew I wouldn’t be able to travel to an Ulta Beauty until August at the earliest. That meant I would be able to shop for the nail polishes in person before they sold out.

This is why I was really surprised to see the Walmart closest to me had the whole collection for sale! This Walmart has been really good at stocking the limited edition beauty collections available to purchase at other Walmarts. Yet, it is still a small Walmart, which means the store may be passed over when it comes to stocking limited edition beauty collections. This is why I was so surprised to see the O.P.I. x Barbie: The Movie collection there. I took pictures of the colors available at the store to make sure I purchased the right colors I wanted. Even though the photographs did their job, I still wanted to share some of them in a post. Since collection has been out for a while, I don’t have any reason to post them except to share my excitement over finding the collection in a store I didn’t expect to find it in!

Ulta Beauty’s 21 Days of Beauty Spring 2023 Favorites- Week 2

It’s almost time for the second week of Ulta Beauty’s 21 Days of Beauty Event! I hope everyone had the chance to shop the sale during week one and found products they want and need. I was able to shop the sale and got something I wanted for years, but didn’t get the chance to purchase one until it went on sale!

For the second week, there are more products from brands that usually go on sale (Such as Lancome, Urban Decay, and Too Faced) but there are some other brands that are new. Also, there are products on sale from brands that fit into a different theme. These themes include Women Owned Brands and Black Owned Brands. My stand out favorites for the week is the Estée Lauder foundation and IT Cosmetics Brushes for Ulta Beauty.

As per usual, before deciding to purchase something from the sale, make sure where it is available. Some products are available online or in Ulta Beauty’s app only. Also, remember there is a limit to the amount of products you can purchase for the sale price per day. And finally, Target, which has a deal with Ulta Beauty to sell their products inside their stores and on Target’s website, is participating in the 21 Days of Beauty Event. I don’t know all the details about Ulta Beauty in Target stores. Still, if you can’t go to an Ulta Beauty but can go to a Target, try to shop the sale there. Or on Target’s website. Whichever you prefer.

And now, onto the favorites! Continue reading “Ulta Beauty’s 21 Days of Beauty Spring 2023 Favorites- Week 2”

Marshall’s Beauty Haul- December 2022

Last month, I decided to go to Marshall’s to see if they had Christmas decorations I want. I didn’t find any decorations I wanted, but I did find beauty products I wanted. Continue reading “Marshall’s Beauty Haul- December 2022”

OPI Pro Spa Nail and Cuticle Oil Review

Back in January, I needed to buy myself a bottle of cuticle oil. I usually have a bottle of cuticle oil, but I forgot to purchase a new bottle of oil before I ran out. Unfortunately, when I ran out I couldn’t find cuticle oil in my local Walmart. (I believe this is due to shipping and supply chain problems) Out of frustration, I decided to go to Ulta Beauty, which carry the brand, to find a bottle of the oil.

The Ulta Beauty I shopped at did not have a large selection of cuticle oil. (Probably because of more supply chain problems) and did not have the cuticle oil I like to use in stock. After searching for a new oil, I found OPI Pro Spa Nail and Cuticle Oil. I used to use OPI’s oil, but I decided to switch to a different brand due to the cost of OPI’s oil. Even though it was a splurge for me, I decided to buy a bottle of it anyway. For me, a bottle of the oil lasts a very long time. This is also why I decided to purchase it.

After using it for a month or so, I wanted to write a review post about it. Continue reading “OPI Pro Spa Nail and Cuticle Oil Review”

Favorite Beauty Advent Calendars for 2019

It’s November and stores had their Christmas decorations for sale for a month or more. Even though the decorations are widely available in stores, gift sets and other gift oriented items are finally for sale. Because of this, I decided to share my favorite gift sets, starting with beauty advent calendars.

This year, I didn’t find many beauty oriented advent calendars that peaked my interest. Because of this, I was able to find three beauty advent calendars I wanted to share in this post. Continue reading “Favorite Beauty Advent Calendars for 2019”
