5 Reasons I Love (and 5 Reasons Why I Hate) This Month in Arizona- September
It’s September and it’s the month when the Fall Equinox happens! So much happens during the fall in Arizona. Festivals and fairs start showing up again. Football has officially returned and the professional baseball season is starting to wind down, yet it is time to focus on playing well enough for a place in the playoff for the World Series. And new temperatures signal the end of summer.
Even though September is a month of change, many of them welcome changes, there are still some not so nice parts of living in Arizona during the month of September. I compiled a list of five reasons why I love Arizona in September and five reasons why I hate Arizona in September.
Here are the five reasons why I love Arizona in September…
- If there weren’t cooler temperatures in August, they will appear in Septmeber
- Football season is back! So are other fall sports!
- Cultural and performing arts are returning as well.
- This is the perfect time of the year to go apple picking!
- Farmers markets are back! (They are many markets that didn’t close during the summer months, but many of them cut back their hours or weren’t as popular as they are in the fall months. There also many have not been as many vendors at the markets due to growing seasons. This depends on the area where the market is located and their climate. In late August to September is when the markets start to either return to happen more frequently.)
And here are five reasons why I hate Arizona in September…
- Sometimes heat waves happen in September… and they are sometimes over 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
- There is still a chance that monsoon type storms with haboobs will happen.
- Since Winter Visitors has returned, areas where Winter Visitors live are very busy.
- Stores that sell sunscreen sometimes cut back on the amount they sell. (It’s Arizona and it’s always sunny. This is something I never don’t understand.)
- Even though temperatures are great for hiking, snakes are not in hibernation so they may still be out on trails.
That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
