Trail of the Painted Horses Christmas Past Ornament Review

Many years ago, I fell in love with the Trail of the Painted Horses figurine collection. If you never heard about it, it is a figurine collection of horses. There are different designs released every year. Some are more commemorative while others are fun and whimsical. I really enjoy looking at what new designs come out, especially the Christmas themed ones.

This year, I decided to purchase an ornament instead of a figurine. I don’t have many Trail of the Painted Horses figurines or ornaments, but I really love the ones I own. When I found the Christmas Past ornament, I fell in love with it. I did debate about purchasing it (Not because I don’t like it. I just felt I purchased enough ornaments this year and didn’t want to purchase another one.) but I ultimately decided to purchase it anyway.

This is what the box the ornament comes in looks like…

And this is what the ornament looks like out of the box…

As you can probably tell, the ornament is inspired by a vintage horse toy. It is a nicely detailed ornament. The ornament has black glitter on the mane and tail and a metal chain for the bridle. The rope used to hang the ornament on the tree is gold colored. The gold parts of the saddle are shinier than the black, white, red, and brown colors, but isn’t a really shiny metallic color.

I really love this ornament. The weight of the ornament isn’t very heavy, but depending on the type of brand used to hang the ornament on, it can be too heavy for thinner branches. Despite this, I would consider it about a medium weight. I highly recommend this ornament to anyone looking for a pretty, detailed horse ornament. Just be mindful about what branch to hang it on and be careful displaying it in a home with animals and children. If it falls off the tree, it could break!

That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
