Taylor Swift Wanderstruck Fragrance Review
Recently, while doing a declutter of my things, I discovered my unopened bottle of Taylor Swift’s Wonderstruck perfume. I purchased quite some time ago at Marshall’s. I talked about it and other items I purchased during my shopping trip in a blog post, which can be read here. Since then, things got a little crazy in my personal life, so I wasn’t able to open it and try it. When I found it, I decided to try it and write a review about it before I forget I owned it again!
The box the perfume came in looked like this when it was still wrapped in it’s in store packaging…
And this is what the box looks like outside of the wrapper…
And here is what the rest of the box looks like…
The top of the box has a embossed motif that looks like a wax seal with the number 13, Taylor’s favorite number and the same number as her birthday…
As for the bottle, the style of the box is also mirrored int the bottle. The top of the bottle has a similar style to the wax seal inspired motif. The body is mainly purple with glitter and oil slick shine to it…
According to Fragrantica.com, the fragrance’s notes are…
Top notes are Raspberry, Blackberry, Tea, Apple Blossom and Freesia; middle notes are Vanilla, Honeysuckle and Hibiscus; base notes are Peach, Sandalwood, Amber and Musk.
The scent notes of this fragrance are the kind of notes I really love in a fragrance. Despite this, I suffer from serious allergies from the area where I live that cause me to suffer from allergic reactions from food, scents, and other things that wouldn’t normally cause an allergic reaction. Two of those things are amber and musk, which are the base notes of this fragrance. Because of this, at first I was very hesitant to try it, but I still decided to give it a try.
After using it, I began to really like the scent. Raspberry is one of my favorite scents in a fragrance, so smelling a feminine fragrance with raspberries made me very happy. The middle notes of vanilla, honeysuckle, and hibiscus smelt beautiful and blended well with my natural oils. As for the amber and musk I was so worried about, they didn’t bother me in this fragrance. Sometimes I find fragrances with amber and musk that I can wear, and this is one of them. I was surprised when I realized this because I assumed it would be one of the fragrances that wouldn’t.
Even though I really liked the scent, it’s not my favorite. I has a great floral citrus scent that many fragrances made in the past five or so years do not have. Yet, it is a very strong scent. It will stay on the skin for a long time, which is great for many people. I, on the other hand, don’t like such strong scents except for the fall and winter time. The scent notes make it great for the spring and summer, but the base notes make it stronger than other spring and summer scents I like to wear. Because of this, I like the scent and like smelling it, but I don’t like wearing it.
This fragrance would be great for anyone who wants a stronger scent for the spring and summertime. Also, this fragrance would be great someone who wears in a warmer climate but wants a feminine scent that could potentially be warn year round.
Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
