When I placed my order at Sephora in November last year, it was also my birthday month. Since I am a rewards member, I got a birthday gift. The year before, I picked rewards points as my present. For 2023, I decided to pick the Birthday Gift Set. It was a surprise set so I didn’t know what I would get in the set.

In November, I made my annual birthday order at Sephora. I really wanted to purchase items I wanted to own and knew I would use. I also wanted to buy enough items to make me qualify for my current level for the Sephora rewards program. I didn’t do a good job of purchasing from Sephora throughout the year, so I needed to place a large order to qualify! After receiving my order and using the products in it, I can honestly say I’m happy with my order. I don’t think I will order everything in this haul again (I’ll go into more details either in this post or in a different post) but there are some products I really like a lot. Especially the fragrances!
And now, here is the haul!
This year, I wanted to write more posts about the sales that are going on. Even though shopping is not a “hobby” everyone should partake in, especially when you’re saving for something important, I know it is a time when frugality is more important than normal. Because of this, I wanted to talk more about certain sales that are going on.
Right now, Sephora’s Savings Event is going on. Usually whenever a Sephora sale or Ulta Beauty sale happens, other stores will hold their own sales on beauty products. Some of the stores I know would hold a sale during this time are not, but some are. Also, some of the sales at other stores offer larger discounts! Since this is a time when stores are holding more sales on their beauty products, I wanted to highlight the Sephora sale as well as beauty sales happening at Macy’s and Nordstrom. The sales at Macy’s and Nordstrom are subject to change without my knowledge, so keep that in mind if you are looking at shopping them!

In December, I found two luxury brand lipstick gift sets I really liked at Sephora. After some thought, I decided to purchase them. The first set was a Givenchy mini lipstick set. The second is a YSL (Yves Saint Laurent) lipstick set. I already talked about the Givenchy lipstick set in a separate post. It can be read here.
For this post, I wanted to talk about the YSL lipstick set I purchased. It came with a full sized version of one of their lipsticks, two mini sized versions of a different lipstick, and a makeup pouch. Even thought the set is no longer available, I wanted to write a review about the set in order to give anyone looking to purchase a different YSL Beauty lipstick set an idea of how a set looks like. Last month, I purchased holiday themed lipstick gift sets from two luxury design houses. I was curious to see if I would like their products more than my normal lipsticks. The sets did cost more more money that I normally spend, but for me, it was worth it to buy the set instead of individual lipsticks at full price.

In December 2022, Sephora had a pre holiday sale. I wanted to do some more shopping for myself, so I purchased more items I wanted but didn’t need. I am very happy with my purchases and am very excited to start using them!
Some of the items I purchased in this haul are holiday gift sets or limited edition, so I don’t know if they are still available. If they are, and you want one for yourself, I highly recommend them! I don’t always like it when hauls have limited edition products that I can no longer purchase at the time the video or post is seen for the first time. Even though I wanted to write and post them in 2022, I didn’t have the time to do it. Since finding them, I decided to post the photographs and talk about the items I purchased this month.

I usually call the sales the VIB sale, but I remember this sale was called something else. I don’t remember what it was though. I know I’m late to write a post about Sephora’s beauty products, especially since today is the last day for the Sephora sale,, but, unfortunately, I was very busy and was unable to sit down and write one. Still, I wanted to make one before the sale ends.
Last week, I dedicated a post about advent calendars available at Ulta Beauty. Since Sephora sells different products and brands than Ulta Beauty, I tried to create a list of all the advent calendars sold at Sephora. I originally wanted to make a post about my favorite calendars at Sephora, but Sephora did not have as many calendars for sale as Ulta Beauty. Instead, I decided to feature all the calendars available at Sephora. As of the publishing of this post, some of these calendars have sold out or have poor ratings. Last week, I received an advertisement in the mail for Sephora’s Holiday Savings Event. The Holiday Savings Event works exactly like the VIB sales in the past, except it has a new name. Even though Sephora usually does a good job alerting members of their rewards program of the sale dates, I wanted to talk about the sale, what the sale dates are for each rewards program level, and other important information about the sale as well.
