There are Too Many Camping Tents to Choose From….
Right now I am on a roll to do research into which camping tent I want to buy. I already mentioned in a previous post I want to buy either a tent or a canopy to enjoy my back yard… and to keep the bugs away. I still am very interested in buying a canopy, but after some thought, I think a better investment would be to purchase a tent first. That way I can use it as a tent and a canopy… if I buy the right tent!
I have been browsing different websites for affordable tents including Target and Amazon, but it seems my favorite tents are a part of Walmart’s Ozark Trail line of camping gear or are available at Walmart. Even though I know the kind of tent I am looking for, I am very surprised by how many tents there are to choose from!
I have known there are many kinds of tents available to purchase, but looking at them for fun and actually trying to purchase one are two totally different things! There are different types of tents for different uses. There are different styles and different shapes. They can withstand certain types of weather and have the ability to protect the person inside the tent from the sun’s damaging rays.
To be honest, I’m feeling kind of overwhelmed by all the choices.
I think the reason why I’m feeling overwhelmed by the choices is because I want a tent I can use like a canopy, not an actual camping tent. This summer, I have no plans to go out camping. Since I am not going camping, I don’t know if the tent I purchase will be too big to use anywhere besides my back yard. If I were to go out camping, I would want something smaller and more modest than one I can use as a canopy to sit outside, eat snacks, keep the bugs out, and enjoy the night sky. So, I have this feeling that I might be wasting my money on a large tent I can’t use on an actual camping trip. I also feel like I will be waisting my money on my ideal size tent for camping when I won’t be going camping any time soon.
There are so many choices out there, but to be honest, the ones I see on Walmart’s website are my favorites. They are the right sizes for tents I’m looking for (My canopy tent and my camping tent) and the prices are pretty good too. I have also heard a lot of good things about Walmart’s Ozark Trail tents and camping gear.
I think I’m just going to take some more time to decide on what kind of tent I want to purchase… or if a canopy really is the way to go.
That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
