Lucy Score’s Kockemout Series Collector’s Edition Book Feature
For as long as I can remember, I enjoyed collecting books. Sometimes I collected books because I loved reading the books and enjoyed owning them with different covers. Other times I collected books due to their rarity. Still, I enjoyed collecting books. Seeing them on bookshelves makes me happy. Getting the chance to read them makes me even more happy!
For a few years, book publishers have released very popular books in limited edition covers. Usually these books are popular on #BookTok. In my case, I liked looking at these collectable books, but I don’t necessarily like reading them. In these cases, I don’t normally buy these books, even though they are “collectable”.
Recently, I discovered the Collector’s Edition of Lucy Score’s Knockemout series at my local Walmart. I saw them online prior to this and I thought they looked really nice. Yet, I didn’t actually like reading the series. So, I passed on them. When I saw the books in person at Walmart, I was shocked by how pretty the looked! After walking away from the books and continuing with my shopping, I finally broke down and decided to go back to the book section to pick up all the copies in the series.
Even though I am not a fan of the series, I absolutely love the way the books look like! Since I was on the fence about how the books looked online than in person, I decided to write a post all about the Collector’s Edition series. This post is not about what I feel about the books after reading them. Just what the Collector’s Edition looks like and my opinions about them.
This is what all three books look like together…

They have a similar style to each other, making them look cohesive as a set. Yet, they have their own unique colors, art styles, and decorations on them to make them look different from one another.
The first book in the series is Things We Never Got Over. The front of the Collector’s Edition of the book looks like this…

All the books have holographic accents on the covers of the books. They shine whenever the books are moved.
This is what the spine looks like…

And this is what the back looked like…

All the books have quotes from the book on the back. (Also, the bar code is a sticker and can be peeled off. I didn’t do it because I didn’t think about it before I photographed each of the books. Plus, I want to know what each of the books cost me for future referance.)
Each of the books have sprayed edges. The sprayed edges for this book looks like this…

Finally, here is what the end pages look like…

And that is what Things We Left Behind looks like!
Next is Things We Hide from the Light. Here is the front cover…

The spine…

And the back with the quote from the book…

Here is what the sprayed edges look like…

And finally, this is what the end pages look like…

And that is Things We Hide from the Light.
Now for the last book, Things We Left Behind. This is what the front cover looks like…

The spine of the book…

The back of the book…

The sprayed edge…

And the end pages…

The photos for Things We Left Behind show the holographic accents on the book better than the photos of the other books do.
I really like these books. They are very pretty. The holographic accents on the covers add an extra touch of beauty and to make them stand out against a book shelf. Yet, there isn’t a lot of the holographic accents to overtake the book covers. The books are also really well made. The spines of the book are tight and won’t break due to large amounts opening and closing. The books also come with ribbon bookmarks attached to the book spine. These bookmarks are also sewn into the spine really well and won’t pull out easily.
Overall, I like these books. I also like there are not a lot of references to what books are about on the covers. This is what drew me to them in the first place. I like how someone who likes the Collector’s Edition of these books can purchase them and use them as display pieces like a coffee table book. If you really like the Kockemout series or just want pretty books to display, I highly recommend these books.
That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
